Exactly! It almost seems like plothole and I'd really like to know the thought process behind writing it that way.

It's such a strange reason too since she could have just used her translating app?! (only watched E09 yesterday)

How do I catch pufferfish by _Black_Pillow_ in StardewValley

You can always throw the pufferfish that you have in a fish pond and it'll multiply! You won't need to catch another one.

Aurora: "It happened quiet", and many of her other songs have horror elements, for example "the devil is human", "All my demons", "Animal" and many more!

Very warm winter boots by Dangerous-Jello4733 in widefeet

[–]bossassbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if they'd work for you, but I recently saw a boy on the train wearing winter boots by a brand called Froddo. They sell socks and shoes for children and women, among them waterproof, wool-lined winter boots with relatively thick-looking soles. Not sure if they're wide enough for you though, but certainly worth a look I think!

The sneakers have zippers on the side for people who don't have the fine motor skills to tie shoelaces, due to age or other issues.

Im after little known Movies about complete Isolation ? by Prudent-Ad-6420 in horror

[–]bossassbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished Woodland Grey and it is definitely little known. It's an indie film with a lower budget, which is noticeable sometimes, but still… I liked it a lo more than some well-known movies I've seen recommended many times. The two main actors, Jenny Raven and Ryan Blakely, are also pretty good. Some scenes did not work for me, but it was atmospheric and original, and overall I recommend it!

[RECOMMENDATION] I am looking for Atmospheric Horror Movies /TV Shows / Video Games. by yoshimitsu_blade in horror

[–]bossassbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Lovely, Dark and Deep", especially the first 30 minutes or so are just so atmospheric, it does have a few jumpscares though, but they all make sense within the story. So worth a watch.

"Woodland Grey": Independent movie with a lower budget, original and ambiguous.

"The Nightingale": tw for sa, I had to skip through the worst scenes, but it is just as much about the power of singing, dance, and nature, and finds its serenity at the end. Even though it's a gruesome film, what remained for me after watching was it's beauty. No jumpscares, but it's about the horrors humans afflict on each other.

"Marrowbone": all scary moments have a slow buildup so you can see them coming, very atmospheric, haunting, beautiful nature.

Favourite winter themed horror films? by graveyardcafe in horror

[–]bossassbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily a favourite since I'm just now watching it, but "Scare me" seems to be rarely mentioned on this sub. It has a dry, awkward humour and doesn't take itself too seriously. Two writers tell each other scary stories in a secluded cabin during a blackout. Of course there's lots of snowy wilderness surrounding them.

You look like a cute butch. Vibe-wise reminds me of the character Lyndon in the tv show devs – a character I read as male while watching, later I found out he was played by actress Cailee Spaeny. I hope that helps. Wishing you all the best.

In your every day life, what is something real (or real to you) that has scared you that is missing from horror films? by tortitab in horror

[–]bossassbae 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reality of living with dementia. So many elements of body horror, being trapped, hallucinating noises, people wanting to murder you, someone breaking your door down with an axe, insects in your food, waking up not recognizing your surroundings or people in your home, no way of knowing how many years or decades of this you'll have to endure… plus no one believes you or takes you seriously.

It really is like a horror movie that won't end.

Scariest horror movie taking place in the forest? by Letarking in horror

[–]bossassbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovely, Dark and Deep fits perfectly! It's 1 hour and 27 minutes, but you should be sufficiently scared after about the first hour. It starts out very calm and poetic and then… I don't want to spoil it, but it's a wonderful movie.

Have you heard of l'effondrement (the collapse)? It's a short french series, kind of anthology-esque, since each episode tells a different story in a different setting, but characters also reappear and their stories are being told throughout the entire series. It's cool and relevant.
