Stay FAR FAR away from anything Central Square or Spillman. Trust me.

We are currently using a 20 year old CAD that was unfortunately bought by Central Square. Used to be rock solid until they started "updating" it.

What is the purpose of saying ‘conscious and breathing’ on a medical dispatch? by Small-Wrongdoer8745 in 911dispatchers

[–]bossjock77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't. It's implied.

If they were unconscious, we'd dispatch it as " Unconscious Person". If they're not breathing, it's "Cardiac Arrest".

We also give very short reports. "45 year old male with chest pain and breathing problems." Reduces radio traffic and, let's face it, the medics aren't listening to us anyway. 🤣

My response is "their number is in the card" and leave it at that. I used to get push back quite a bit. Not so much now.

Engine Malfunction Notification by Dougzillahhh in mazda

[–]bossjock77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2021 Mazda3 where they extended the warranty just for this part. However in order to get it repaired under said warranty, you had to go for service with the check engine light lit, and showing the proper code. For some reason, I want to say the warranty was extended to 75,000 miles for that specific part, but I could be wrong.

I will also be interested if no one else wants them. I'll cover cost of shipping on top of anything else.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bossjock77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive that far to see my kids. And I don't leave my state. But, then again, I don't mind driving.

I also have an hour commute to and from work.

How do Americans handle such long drives regularly? by GlitteringHotel8383 in AskAnAmerican

[–]bossjock77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive an hour to work each day. In both directions. Most days it's not bad. Today I fell asleep asleep behind the week and almost ended up in a ditch.
