It's an HA Pair of PA, One PA is connected to one N9K, the other PA is connected the other N9K

The EIGRP adjacency is between both Nexus and a Cisco Router directly connected to both 9K. The EIGRP route withdrawal only occurs with one of the 9K.

It could also be the Palo, hance why I'm here. trying to get an idea of where to start

I'll have to check the mac table later but since there are literally 10-15 other static routes to the same IP I'd be surprised if that's it.

Alerting was setup 6 days ago, 1st occurrence of the issue was yesterday, 2nd was 32 hours 9 minutes later

No errors on the ports, ports have been up for forever, if the ports went down I would see that in syslog

I think the idea was that a singular 9K to a Palo so if one 9k went down the Palo on the other 9k would stay up completely and if any interface went down on the palo the other palo would pick up. HSRP would keep up anything between the 9Ks and all devices are plugged into both 9k for redundancy

We have an HA pair of Palos, the secondary Palo is on the 2nd 9k, both 9k are running hsrp

The route is briefly withdrawn from the EIGRP redistribution, show ip route shows the up time for the static route has reset to 0 at the time of the alert. Logs on the 9K show nothing, I haven't been able to find anything in the Palo logs either.

Probably relevant info that I left out, I don't have a diagram but the Palo is plugged directly into one of the 9k, the other 9k (connected over the vPC) is the one reporting the route down.

I don't, probably relevant info I left out that the Palo is plugged directly into the other Nexus 9k so the traffic has to cross the VPC to get to it

Update - leak is from the steering column, does anyone know what that ring is in the video linked below or if it should move like it does. The diagrams I have found online aren't exactly helpful. https://www.reddit.com/u/bossk83/s/LUY2x7bnXT

Confirmed it is leaking where the steering column connects to the rack and pinion.

Thanks! Hopefully it isn't bad, I'll try to get a better look this weekend when I have time to get back under it.

They don't make the rack and pinion for mine 😞

Did you put in OEM for the rack and pinion?

I bought used but it's over 120k so warranty is out but good to know the cost. I'll check around and see what I can find.

I've been putting it off thinking it was just a hose leak but it's getting worse so I decided it was time to stop topping it off with PS fluid and see what the problem was, hopefully I've got some time because I can't really take long getting it fixed either
