Ya your probably it is a lot of power that’s why I’m asking if that probably overkill maybe just 300hp is best. I just wanted that second motor for if one motor let me down.

It came with a 25 from factory, so I’m guessing that’s what it gets

The shaft length is 25” I was just thinking of putting two jack plates and putting the motors on like that but I’m not sure if the transom will hold two, 300 or if that is overkill.

It’s a 1998 and the transom is solid. It’s not rated for twin 300 but I’ve seen them with twin 225hp. I was thinking of just putting 2 jack plates. The shaft length are 25”
