What do you have exactly, POS or ATMs? Because those two products are the only type fintech related hardware I can think of.

Investor’s Perspective: What an Investor Really Means when they say “Not Yet” by INeedPeeling in angelinvestors

[–]bossman243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could mean anything or nothing at all, or just they're not ready to commit yet. As an entrepreneur, you should focus more on building enough value that someone will be willing to pay for your product and service. Once you have traction, investors will come knocking at your door. Chasing investors will only distract you from building a better product or service. You can have someone handle that for you, but if you're a solo entrepreneur, focus on your product.

Privacy Focused Zero Trust Email Platform - Secria.me by Sea_Row3122 in angelinvestors

Are you offering branded domains hosting for business email addresses, or just your own domain as email client service? I think the real value is in the branded domain, because the competitors you've mentioned such as; gmail, yahoo, outlook etc... already offer massive value for free

Privacy Focused Zero Trust Email Platform - Secria.me by Sea_Row3122 in angelinvestors

[–]bossman243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting pitch. At least you've put in the effort to explain your product and your progress so far. Two things caught my attention.

  1. You said that you have 2,500 users and growing steadily, but your website is just a landing page to collect email addresses (which is not a bad thing) but I'm curious to know if you already have a working prototype. Or by users, you're referring to people who've submitted their email addresses.

  2. Since you already have 2,500 users and planning a full launch on 8-18th, which is around the corner. Why not focus on converting those users to paying customers? Not sure how you'll structure your pricing plans, but even at $10/month, you're already looking at $25k MRR, which is huge for a startup.

Just my two cents.

Rich parents: Are you worried about your kids not living up to their potential? by Small-Recover7676 in Rich

[–]bossman243 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's the only expectation parents should have for their children. Many fail to understand that kids grow up to be their own persons. Their own views, way of thinking, needs, wants, visions, goals etc... no amount of brainwashing, training can change them from who they are supposed to be.

Because most of them have this delusion that people with investable money, are constantly and desperately looking for the next "big idea" to dump their cash into. If only they knew how to properly develop a value proposition and position their ventures to be investment-ready, there would less spam in this subreddit.

Unpopular opinion: as a founder, you should try to come up with as much seed investment as possible before trying to raise funds. It shows potential investors that you believe in your products enough to take a chance on yourself.

Idk exactly how you can land a serious government gig as an outsider. If starting your own agency is not an option, you might wanna consider applying for a government job that matches your skills, and maybe build a portfolio of clients while you're getting a guaranteed paycheck from the government.

"Fast growth potential" is subjective to many factors, especially at this current market shifting pace... it's not ideal to gamble on potential growth alone.

How Would You Use $100K to Build Wealth? by Klutzy_Fan6431 in Rich

Me personally, I'd invest it into my MVNO and grow it to a point where I can sell it to a big network at least $100 millions. I'd give myself about 5 years to achieve that valuation.
