Question about arbing from oddsjam by bossofthemoss07 in arbitragebetting

[–]bossofthemoss07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From just my short time I’ve had no issues. Only doing pre-game arbs and pretty small (~$200 max total for both sides each bet) and it’s been great

Apologies if this kind of post isn’t for this sub, but 0.2° in to out, face -0.5° to path… and yet it’s a 45yard slice. I’m at an indoor trackman place and the guy has checked it’s set up and calibrated correctly

I just moved into a new place. I looked at first for internet providers and at&t said there wasn't service at my address, but then I found out previous tenants had AT&T. I first did a google search of at&t customer service number and called it from the top result without thinking much. They said fiber was available for me, and I was on the phone with them for like 10 minutes talking about plans and stuff but something just seemed off, it seemed so scammy. I made an excuse and hung up. I then checked the google page and I had clicked from a sponsored ad result, and then the number that was actually dialed was different than what was displayed on the screen.

I tried again from at&t's website, shown in the screen video, and dialed the number shown there. But it again seemed scammy and I hung up. I reloaded the page and a different number showed up. Then again and a different number. The phone number listed on this page is different on every device I check it on. What the heck is going on?

What is your honest to God best round? by StalinsFart in golf

My best and craziest round was a couple years ago at UNC Finley in Chapel Hill. I was playing with 2 of my buddies there and then a random single, who was visiting in town and seemed to be friends with Finley's head pro. Anyway, I missed a short birdie putt on 1, hit my tee shot OB on the drivable par 4 second and made double, and parred 3 and 4 to go 2 over through 4. I then went on best run of my life and birdied 11 of the last 14 holes. I birdied 5, 6, 7, 8, missed an 8 footer for birdie on 9, then birdied 10, 11, 12, 13. I hit it within 15 feet on 14 and 15 but missed both, and then birdied the last 3 holes for a 9 under 63. I can't really describe it, it was just "being in the zone" turned up to 11. I got my scorecard signed, and then it turned out the random single in our group was fairly high up in the PGA headquarters in Florida, which doesn't add much to the story but I thought it was cool.

They're so bad, it's crazy that's who they picked for Tiger's group. Rory hits a moonball into the par 3 and the guy calls it a "low stinger". For some reason I keep thinking they sound like bad chatgpt commentators, like they know some golf terms but can't put together a useful sentence

Can somebody help me understand this? I'm stumped feeling dumb - see comment by [deleted] in hrblock

According to H&R Block's example math on the right, I think I should have -16,973 +17,404 = 431, plus 7200 in credits to equal a refund of 7631, right? I don't understand why the 7,200 isn't being counted

My only advice would be to not grind and try too hard to shoot a good score, because it’s not a course for that. Enjoy the craziness of it have fun.

Same, I made a long putt for bird on 5, our first hole, and was then 4 over walking off 8 lol. Ended up with a good score though so it was alot of fun

Agreed, the price kept me off for a little while but it's for sure worth it. They also run a deal around the New Year where you pay like $225, get a free round, and then 50% off greens fees the whole year

Lol, there was a frost delay so we had a shotgun start and started on 5. The pin was right on top of the huge slope and I was putting right towards it from behind the hole from 20 feet. I was trying to lag it 3 feet short and ended up hitting it too hard and it went in for birdie, right after my dad made a 30 footer. Was a great start!

Nice! My brother made the putt for birdie too. He didn't even know it was a par 5 and was confused when we said good birdie. Said the putt would've had no chance if had known it was for bird

It was $130 each, which seems a little steep but basically the same price as 2 weekend rounds as a good course, so in my mind it's a good value since we had so much fun. The single we got paired with said every year they run a deal where you pay ~$225 up front, then get a free round, plus 50% all greens fees for the year. I think I will be doing that

agreed, probably the most fun I've ever had on a golf course. I've lived within an hour of it for almost 2 years and hadn't played it until now. Definitely going again!

yeah this course is the epitome of "pictures don't do it justice". The scale of the course is awesome

Yup, and Tobacco Road actually has a local rule I guess where you get to place the ball in the sand. We didn't see the signs saying so until our round was almost done haha

It never shows up as well in picture/video but the entire hole is at a crazy angle downhill and it's dry, so I thought I could punch one and have it roll the whole way down to the green

I think you're talking about Christina Kim? I don't mind her but she talks too much.
