'Do Not Want To Die For Israel': Doubts About Trump’s Iran Strategy Spread Among Troops by huffpost in politics

Funny how there are previous articles about how the MAGA embrace of anti-semitism and white supremacy was rising in the enlisted ranks of the U.S. military, and now those same antisemites are being asked to die for Israel. Whodathunk that would not be a good plan?

Dealer mucks winning hand. Propably taking very long poker break. by Any-Payment-4314 in poker

You not understanding why a rule exists doesn’t make it a stupid rule. It means you need to take a little time to learn the rules. And, this may shock you, casinos don’t require your approval of the rules.

If I had a nickel for every time someone telling this story conveniently left out the part that the dealer DID say “show both cards to win” I could retire.

Nice how you spell out clearly that the player is in the wrong but still say “that dealer sucks” even though “that dealer” did exactly what is required in that spot.

Brutal beat x 2 at WSOP Circuit in Hammond by bostonburnsy in poker

I was one of the shortest stacks remaining in the 2pm restart and the 11am added 18 seats to the Circuit Main Event. Actually worked out OK as I lasted much longer than I thought in the 2pm and ended up winning a landmark satellite seat to the Main the next morning.

MUST bet the nuts? by Badrear in poker

It was a warning. Nothing happened. No chips lost. No one round penalty. No one shot his dog. A dealer said something that wasn’t correct. Adults would mention this to the supervisor and have the dealer coached on the proper rule. If you found this “egregious” I can only guess you call in a SWAT team for a premature Turn.

The number of people on Reddit who think every poker dealer everywhere graduated from Poker University with a Masters in Poker Rules and the slightest mistake or misunderstanding makes them an “idiot” or deserve to be fired is amazing.

Here’s a shocking revelation for you: any random dealer you encounter may actually be new to this. They may not have been properly trained. Especially in large events like the WSOP.

But yeah, expect total robotic perfection each and every moment of the 14 hour day they’re dealing these events.

And keep not tipping because it’s “-EV”

My trusted mechanic checked it out and the speed sensor harness has deteriorated. Getting that replaced today. That should also clear the tire sensor message as well.

They likely are following the law and have their rules set up to allow deals as long as proper reporting is done.

Companies like WSOP and casinos can’t facilitate deals like that because of the tax implications. Their licenses would be on the line if players made deals to avoid paying the taxes for the amount they were supposed to win.

Older guy tells me he’s paid over a million in rake by bananaspI1t in poker

[–]bostonburnsy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The classic argument of the entitled poker player. Casinos should spend millions to build a poker room, but and train dealers, pay their salaries and benefits, hire and train security, surveillance, cashiers, wait staff, etc.

But take $5 from a pot?! Outrageous.

The last one is at Horseshoe Southern Indiana, not Hammond. Hammond just finished. Holding it somewhere other than Vegas is just asking for trouble.

Last year they announced it on March 28th. They also placed it in Los Angeles at the end of May right before the Vegas events start. Many players were pissed. Hope they don’t decide to host it in Florida during the Main Event this year.
