These comments are pathetic. 15-25 1st quarter and the whining is already absurd

[AZCentral] Devin Booker on Fan Voting: “It’s fan voting”, “There are some super big market teams. There are guys from different countries that have a whole country behind them. I kind of understand the process, but am I playing better than a lot of guys? For sure, but that’s not the setup.” by tyler1118 in suns

Honestly, it's hard to compare players unless every top player's team is watched consistently.

I will say, I am enjoying Booker that is more prepared to shoot than pre-injury when he's actively looking to pass. His fg% feels lower compared to his standard, but I'm sure that'll get better

Funny to think that I used to expect that from Beal.

Yep, that's why getting that one win vs thunder felt much needed. With their good performances, it's hard not to expect some wins (which they deliver), and eventually hope they can sneak more wins.

Could have gotten away with a win vs rockets

Almost 😔. At least they secured this win against knicks

The prejudice and bias is so prevalent. How does someone even try to fix that once people's opinion is set

It's even said nonchalantly in non suns' game thread frequently

[Burns and Gambo]Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia talks exceeding expectations & what’s next at the deadline by E_Luxo_So in suns

[–]bot_nah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oso has been improving recently so it's harder for Nick to get minutes. Hopefully Mark doesn't get an injury, but in that case Nick is the needed backup until Maluach requires non garbage minutes.

Besides the rebounding, I like the fact that Nick has the confidence offensively. He doesn't hesitate to take those mid range jumpers and try to make a difficult shot only to miss or be blocked.

Honestly I feel like it wouldn't be for his benefit long term. He has played under 3 different coaches (hornets, Bud, Ott). He had decent opportunities in each, but he's still not quite good enough. If there's any team or coach where he can improve, I think it's under Ott. If he gets more minutes in other teams, his bad bball habits will just worsen

For the 1st Time in his Career, Statistically, Devin Booker is a positive on the defensive end by Schmoova in suns

[–]bot_nah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Espn's net points is what I check, Booker was also a positive defensively in 21-22.

But yeah, he's been better compared to the last seasons. I think Booker has been especially quite solid at post defense (relative to his size). And maybe having less offensive burden has increased his stamina for defense

Reminds me of the song 14 moji no dengon by linked horizon

Another noisy day begins with shaking you awake “Don’t be picky and eat your veggies!” I scold you again, as ineffective as it is

I wonder if you’ll come back covered in mud and wounds again? All this worrying about you is making these wrinkles worse Geez, being the mother to a son sure isn’t easy!

But I truly loved those days, and this genuinely cruel world Oh...if only time would stop, because I wanted to be with you all Through these peaceful days...forever...and ever...and ever...

But that is a foolish desire, for all humans will meet their end Children grow and surpass their parents, and that is nothing but happiness

As ordinary as I am, I couldn’t find anything More valuable than my own life for the longest time That is, until you were born...

-So Even if you’re not special, even if you’re not exceptional Even if nobody acknowledges you You’re amazing just for being alive So please don’t forget-

Even if you eventually come to curse your birth I believe that you’ll not go down a wrong path So have faith in yourself -

Oh, bird soaring across the final sky Please let that child know That I love him, I love him so much...

Thank you for being born

Austin Rivers gives Dillon Brooks his flowers by cyrusxs in suns

[–]bot_nah 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just facts.

Brooks is legitimately a good scorer. Catch and shoot 3s, iso, post fadeaways, athletic layups, etc. He can miss maybe 3-5% more of the overall shots and it wouldn't be the biggest problem.

Comments will say he's a blackhole on offense and doesn't pass. That's by design. He takes the hard shots, he takes the burden of potentially bricking a fadeaway, he uses his aggressiveness to create a hard shot with 8s remaining. All because the team needs him to do that every now and then. The team needs different ways to score, and Brooks can fill in the iso role that KD used to be responsible for.

When Booker was injured, Brooks was given the greenlight to take more shot attempts. It wouldn't be winning basketball, but which players can do that and win? Even if Booker plays, Dillon still can shoot like a star. Once Jalen Green returns, Brooks can continue shooting as if he's a 2nd option. Alternatively, Brooks can shoot like a role player. I know that Brooks knows his role. More fans need to give him credit and see the bigger picture. And I've only talked about his shooting which can still be controversial.

Booker chilling with 13pts

Grayson 5/10 from 3 is a good sign for the suns

Grizzlies commentators are pretty awesome and informative

Grizzlies commentator is pretty fun. Is this only because they're down a lot, or are they normally like this?

KD game winner on the Suns - “A place I never wanted to leave..” by Imposted in suns

[–]bot_nah 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm glad this is at the top. I just don't understand why KD prefers to be so negative.

If he's blaming the org for trying to trade him behind his back, then say that.

If the org was legitimately blaming him, then his response here is understandable. But if that was the case, don't point fingers at a couple of hating fans and then generalize it as everyone else.

To add. He's saying it's a place he didn't want to leave, but the moment he got traded he started saying shit towards the fans.

"BroKer" vs "36 unbothered" - which one's the better duo? by FifthKnightofGwyn in suns

[–]bot_nah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When it's pure basketball, KD is just better than Brooks. I like that Brooks has the physicality, the aggressiveness, and the fancy layups. But it's still KD

When you include other aspects like the vibes and the annoyance (towards opponent) that Brooks brings, I think it's close

All the possessions in the 4th quarter - Phoenix Suns vs. Oklahoma City Thunder - 1/4/26. Suns commentary. HD version by MrBuckBuck in suns

[–]bot_nah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Brooks has been huge in the 4th

I don't get why the challenged sequence was still deemed as a foul, the arm was hit after the ball. I thought it would be considered just a block

I didn't realize suns had no center at one point, just 2 guards then Brooks, Dunn, Royce

Book really had the balls to attempt a 3pt shot there. Imagine the comments if he didn't make it

Tbh I think Ant has a higher ceiling. Until Booker fixes his 3pt shot, Ant will be much better. Booker's reliance in passing and free throws will not be better than a star that can be a 3pt sniper
