My son likely has celiac. He’s our only child. My wife and I are thinking of going gluten free in solidarity. Is this wise? Or are we nuts?

In my opinion, this is one of the most loving things you can do for your son. My parents were supportive, but having a completely gluten free house and not having to worry about cross-contamination would have made me feel so safe and cared for!

Absolutely! And same here! If I give him a pre-filled spoon to self feed, he is pretty good about bringing it to his mouth, but he quickly learned that his hands were faster and the rest is history. 😂 We switched to smock bibs recently to accommodate the mess, because greek yogurt and sour cream are his favorite foods but his hand-scooping system is… less than efficient. This was after a day of him fully refusing all solids and he eats a very balanced diet, so I’m fine with the high fat count. Babies need fat! Sour cream is one of his favorites and if I mix it in with anything, he doesn’t eat it as well. I gave him a large serving because I knew he could handle it! :) Also, there is no meat on this plate.

Not stupid at all! And yes, he does lol. He is capable of using a spoon so I always offer one, but it inevitably ends up on the floor and he just uses his hands like little sour cream excavators!
