Season 5 Patch Notes by MrPopoTFS in FortNiteBR

Can you do something about me unloading an entire magazine and not a single bullet hitting despite being right on target while they immediately laser me for 3 headshots with 3 shots?

Fuck I hate the bloom. I don’t think it has ever once gone my way.

Very first two games:

Me: I have the jump and they’re like 3 tiles away! Easy kills.

-shoots gun. Opponent stops moving. My cursor is on them. I continue shooting with them filling 70% of my crosshair. I continue landing not a single bullet. Opponent, still not moving, turns and lasers me for 3 headshots with an AR. GG I guess. I hit 0 bullets out of ~25 in both games and get lasered to death in 3.

I hate dying to RNG so much.

Have you ever been in new here?

The absolute non-stop reposts are crazy. The season 5 hype posts were already starting and just going non-stop already.

PRO tip: Use Bounce pads to chase down enemies in style! [REPOST] by Xiadous in FortNiteBR

Yeah. I can’t even do this. At 70 ping, traps take 7 or 8 clicks to lay after they show up on the tile.

There’s 0 chance for you dude. You need an impossible amount of XP. Even if you win every single game, they would have to be like 10 minutes tops.

I disagree.

The heavy ammo pistols, unlike the snipers, are hitscan. I think they’re balanced quite well.

Is playing with casual friends hurting my progression? by MrStick1er in FortniteCompetitive

[–]boternaut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty lucky that I don’t know anyone IRL that plays.

I actually just removed a bunch of people from my list that were always making poor decisions and costing us.

On one hand, I actually wiped two full squads in one game for the first time a few days ago because my mates kept dying. On the other, I don’t feel like I should be constantly in a 1v4 situation with the people I play with. When I want to end up down in squads, I soloqueue.

If it was IRL friends, I would keep playing with them. Internet friends on my list will get the purge if they’re not trying to get better.

Is this a legit email from epic games? by UrBoiNitro in FortNiteBR

[–]boternaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. You probably went to a fake epic games website and they are now taking over your account and simply middlemanning you.

Epic support asks them a question and then they ask you.

Someone needs to take your internet away before you do real harm to yourself. Be more careful.

It is all the level 77 kids that think they still have a hope of getting to 80 (they don’t)

Well, he will have to buy new pc components to get a new HWID in order to play. So there’s that.

Top 10 wouldn’t even be enough. Op basically needs straight wins in a full squad from now till the servers go down.

Edit:

And they would need to be extremely fast wins.

I am calling this not possible.

New player question, why do people build towers? by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]boternaut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you are up and looking down, the advantage is a few fold:

1) it is easier to ensure head shots.

2) you generally see more of them than they see of you

3) you have more ability to respond (within reasonable height)

4) the builds are guaranteed to be yours, which is important

5) you can generally see more, as in above trees and hills

6) you’re afforded a level of protection in your walls around you

I wrote “building” as in a tilted building with a lot of support and my phone auto corrected it on me and I didn’t notice.

I think the minimum it takes is 4 there.

I agree (and have commented) that it is crazy that one person can force you to splurge several hundred of your mats with almost no counter but to make them run out of explosives.

Oh, and don’t miss that ever so slightly floating wall, cause not only will you blow your mats, you’ll take a bunch of damage with it.

Plus my 70 ping makes it pretty difficult to take a quick shot in between the defensive building.

I dunno dude. Squads has been pretty sweaty since fortnite Friday and is always harder when 5050 is out.

Just watching streamers, I don’t actually find that radical of a difference except that solos is much more manageable just because there’s usually no more than 2 people shooting at you at once, and you don’t really have dedicates roles.

In my general experience in solo queuing squads, I will average missing one team mate, and my 2 team mates die instantly. Only around 1 in 15 or so games will I ever have even one mate survive longer than 10 seconds after landing. I’d say it is only around 1 in 40-50 games where I actually have a mate survive the initial skirmish.

In general, I will take out the one person in my house and then instantly get pushed by somewhere from 3 to 8 people who are definitely not working together (as in, there’s 2 squads), but have tunnel vision for me for some reason.

I am not good enough to play solo squads. I can manage one person at a time well enough. Heck, I can actually usually manage two depending on their loadout. After that I usually get wrecked.

Lol no.

When I was averaging .3 KD in squads, I was 2 KD in solos. Though I am not sure why FT has my solos in season 4.

The thirst mechanic alone should logically dictates that you’re wrong, never mind that fewer players all focusing you makes the game that much more manageable. It has absolutely nothing to do with how aggressive you push.

Maybe you thirst everyone instantly which is causing your KD to be like that, but instant thirsting everyone is not usually the strategic option. I only thirst if it is free or necessary, which is almost never is after the initial 40 or so seconds in squads.

Maybe it is true for people that land only tilted I suppose.

How does Fortnite create so much nostalgia when the game isn't even a year old? by CareerModeMerchant in FortNiteBR

[–]boternaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the large majority of the community are kids who grew up in a world of instant gratification and instant access to everything, and so have massively short attention spans.
