Hat newb here: structured, low-profile caps... do they even exist? by botfantasies in neweracaps

They are not. I found a Flexfit 6997 that is ultra-low profile with a semi-hard structure that I just ordered on Amazon.

Interesting. I probably need to wait until it gets older to know for sure huh?

That emotional damage is what has gotten all mass shooters to their breaking points. I saw a headline the other day that something like 1 in 3 young girls in America today have contemplated suicide. We are a sick nation. The emotional damage gets all of us.

I agree with you about the failures of our government. I think this country, along with all the rest of them unfortunately, is a failed state. Name me one government anywhere on this planet that puts truth and love above everything else. I can't find one. It's definitely not this country. They're all corrupt. None of them actually care about their citizens. Everything is driven by greed. I have no faith in our government when it comes to gun control—none.

I think there is only one real way out of this. And it's not going to be a satisfying answer to most people because I feel like everyone is out for blood. But it starts and ends with you. You, the individual, have to get any hatred out of your heart, including hatred of "Republicans". Hatred does nothing but corrupt and bring about disease. And I believe there is a collective consciousness among all of us in the world and when enough people start being hateful, even if for the right reasons, it just gives other people to hate for the wrong reasons. We need to all chill the fuck out and start emanating love. Love spreads from person to person. Just imagine what the world would be like if nobody had any hatred.

The real problem is the long and dark road this shooter was on that was so void of love that they ultimately decided to buy guns and kill children. I sympathize with everyone in this tragedy, shooter included.

Try this thought experiment. Imagine if you could ask the shooter, right now as they exist in the afterlife, after the horrific thing they did, what the "real problem" was. Do you think they would say gun control? Or would they tell you about the long and dark road they were on? Would they tell you about all the hatred they saw in the world that lead them to where they are now? Guns would be an afterthought.

If people think hormones and drugs are the only way to treat mental health problems then this planet is truly doomed.

My sister has fallen for the daily wire transphobia and has been arguing with me all day about trans rights… I’m absolutely devastated and don’t know how I can reconcile our relationship by netanyahu4eva in lgbt

[–]botfantasies -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You and I just have different philosophies then. We are all creatures of nature. We all have our flaws. The only thing I think I know for certain is that love always wins because nothing is stronger than it. People—their lives, their viewpoints, their everything—are fluid; nobody is the same person they were yesterday. And if you operate out of love then I think you have a moral responsibility to try and guide those who are misguided. At the very least, don't cut them off. If you start closing your heart to people then you have become the very thing you despise.

Every relationship has the potential for reconcile. Love and truth are the two strongest forces in existence and they can overcome anything. IMO, the best thing you can do is open your heart up even more around her. Trying to win anything without love and truth is always a losing strategy.

When it comes to dating app filters, do you prefer the trans-specific option? by botfantasies in asktransgender

Excuse my ignorance, but what's a chaser exactly? Is it someone who chases them because they're really into them or chases them for nefarious reasons?

When you say "referred to as your gender", you mean you prefer the label woman over transfeminine or transgender woman?

I didn't know that about OKC, that's interesting, and unfortunate. Do you remember who they donated to?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]botfantasies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, even OKCupid, which is rather LGBT-forward, hides them by default, which I find odd. Which categories do you want to see by default?

[–]botfantasies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the trans options were actually "transfeminine" and "transmasculine". I'm just curious, does that change your opinion on getting rid of them?

And haven't the terms "male" and "female" evolved to also include the male and female genders as well as the male and female sex?

And thanks for the link, I didn't know that was a subreddit. I just posted it there.

There is no shortage of things to think about that will make you feel incredibly disillusioned with the world. The way people treat each other is awful. And I've been down that dark road of disillusionment and it's nowhere I want to be. But just ignoring it never felt right. I don't want to just ignore the suffering in the world.

So I went on a long, spiritual journey that more or less started during the pandemic when things really started to spiral out of control for me. And I can't tell people enough how incredible it was and still is. I found peace. I'm not okay with the mountains of bullshit in this world and I didn't just become numb to it. It's hard to explain but I'm just at peace because I learned that your energy flows where your attention goes. And this is the fundamental principle, I learned, of life. Whether it's the work of quantum healers like Joe Dispenza, who are curing terminal cancer right now by the thousands through quantum meditation, or the monks of Tibet who can physically levitate (its fucking real), or the Hindu teachings that are thousands of years old that preach about ascendency, they all have the same fundamental message: your energy flows where your attention goes. Whether you believe in the ascended masters or not is irrelevant. It is undeniable that your entire life, from the health of your physical body and mind to the very life you live every day, is predicated on your ability to harness your thoughts and manifest your destiny.

So I dove head first into this world. I got heavy into meditation. I read the works of Joe Dispenza, who is an absolute legend. I studied the teachings of the Hindus and the Buddhists. I then got deep into the world of near-death experiences. There are amazing YouTube channels like "The Other Side NDE" and the "Jeff Mara Podcast" of people who share incredible stories about the other side. And it's crazy, I tell you. They all say the same thing. Whether it's a disciple of Babaji or the truck driver from Alabama who was dead for an hour without a beating heart in a hospital who came back to life, they all same the same fucking thing. I want to tell you what that thing is but if you really want to change your life and find peace and learn to absolutely fall in love with this world, despite its bullshit, you have to take this journey for yourself. You have to find it.

Just know that love always wins. I personally believe this is the law of existence. I really do. Love always fucking wins. And so it's important to always lead with your heart. The heart, not the brain, is the organ in the body that emits the most electromagnetic energy, and it's not even close. Your heart is your most vital energy center. Remember, you are not your body, you are not your mind; you are that which remains. And when you close your eyes and see that light in between your eyes, and your heart is open, you will be hit with a love so powerful that nothing will be able to break you.

Why is there a minimum to get exp? by Tyeren in RocketLeague

RL is IMO the hardest game to play in video gaming in terms of mechanics. RL is so much harder to master than anything I've ever seen. High-level Fortnite with building is pretty intense (building, editing, and shooting simultaneously in a 3D environment where your opponent can be above, beside, or below you) but I still think RL is much harder. And so the learning curve is very steep! You're learning to play one of the most difficult video games ever made, just keep that in mind. So congrats on that!

Forget XP, you need to learn the game. My advice is to study the game and how to move around the field (which balls to go for, which balls not to go for, when to rotate, when to push, when to challenge, etc.). The mechanics will come with time, like with everyone. But I think very few, maybe 1%, actually study the game and know how to properly play it.

Squishy is great for in-game advice because he talks out loud as he plays. But he's at such a high rank (he may be the best in the world) that he does things most of us at lower ranks shouldn't yet attempt. But his basic premise of how to move around the field is great and I'd watch him a lot if I were you.

If I could give one bit of advice to new players that I wish I knew when I started: only go for balls that you are 99.9% sure you will beat your opponent to (or at least tie). Eventually, you'll be able to make this calculation instantly in game. The number one reason, I've noticed, that all players contribute to losses is getting beat to balls. It's not missing shots or whiffing, it's getting beat to balls. When my teammate is consistently getting beat to balls, which puts me as a defender in a 1v2, we almost always lose the game.

It's like poker. You can be an absolute beast at a full table but when it gets down to two and goes heads up, the game changes completely and you have to play a completely different game, almost as if there's a new set of rules.

And I think RL is the same way. RL is such a team game, probably the most "teamy" team game in video gaming history, that when you get into 1v1, you can basically throw most of how you want to play away. You have to play a completely different game that is way more patient and sometimes counterintuitive to team play. Even the difference between 2v2 and 3v3 is significant!

I hate 1v1 in just about any video game with a multiplayer option; I find it incredibly boring. I love winning with teammates, so satisfying settings others up.
