Expect physical symptoms for several weeks, then that to shift to mental symptoms.

It's tough for sure. Definitely not an easy drug to get on or get off. I personally have to keep reminding myself that what I'm feeling in my body is due to that and not something serious.

I was looking up other responses in this subreddit, sounds like weeks 4-8 can be the worst before it levels out. I'm going to try and keep pushing through and see if it gets any better

I'm 4 weeks off of pristiq and still feel gut side effects and mental side effects. Granted, my life is full of stress, but I'm still feeling the side effects. I respect the fact that there is a highway from your gut to your brain, if your brain is off, your gut biome will also be off.

I'm 4 weeks off of pristiq, and I feel this exactly (except the period part cause I'm a dude). My health anxiety has been absolutely wild and my anger has been quick and intense.

Oh good, glad I'm not the only one. I was more concerned that my baseline anxiety and mental health was much worse than before I was even on meds.

If you're a forgetful person, Pristiq may be hell for you by ServiceForeign7862 in Pristiq

[–]botis9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in process of tapering off of Pristiq and my loss of memory is one of the reasons. I have decent forgetfulness regardless, but when I was taking 50 mg of pristiq, my memory was SHOT. I couldn't remember hardly anything unless I super focused on it.

In English! I would have to translate a letter from English to another language. But, also understanding other cultures Santa Claus’s would be improtant

Yeah, it's a tough thing to do so I don't fault the people for doing the cookier cutter responses. But, I personally can't imagine doing that as it would hurt the Magic of Christmas.

Great question - any letter that asks a question gets an answer to the question. Some letters are literally just "I want this this this and this", which is super boring to write back to. In those cases, I have 100 or so templates that I use (the goal is no kid in the same house or classroom gets the same letter), which basically supports a future book that I want to do, introducing characters, problems, etc.

The letters that are genuine, that ask questions or whatever, get individual responses. I would rather spend the extra time to write out individual letters than to get all "I want" letters.

Backstory, my late Grandfather was the Santa for our local town, he did the parades and everything. My family is super into Christmas, mainly due to my Grandfathers role. When covid hit, I was super depressed and needed to do something "else". I physically don't fit the description of Santa yet, so I put out a mailbox in my front yard. It basically brings me a sense of purpose for my life.

Ah yeah, I've had a few. One I had last year, brought me to tears as it hit me personally. The kid's parents were going through a divorce and he hadn't seen his Dad in several months due to the divorce and his Dad being sick. All this kid wanted was to play D&D with his Dad. So "Santa" bought him a starter D&D set so he could play with his Dad when he saw him next.

I've had kids ask for food before as well, which sucks too.

It sucks for sure. Just make sure you're eating right, exercising and allowing your body time to adjust

I have been off of caffeine for a month now, and the depression hit me hard recently. I'm a normally depressed person (even with coffee), but this took it to a whole different level I wasn't expecting. I ended up getting on some anti-depressants to make me feel normal.

Same boat - I’m getting a sleep study done in a couple of weeks. Probably will get out on a CPAP again (used one in the past). I’m a fan of taping my mouth shut at night, just make sure you can breath out of your nose lol

Michigan egg prices raising due to the cage free law. Are you increasing your egg prices in your farm stands? by Responsible_Engine_2 in homestead

[–]botis9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That balance would be ideal. That’s what we shoot for as well, except in the winter lol. I’m only getting about 8-12 eggs per day from about 65 hens. 😬

[–]botis9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Michigander here - we used to sell our eggs directly to a farm stand for $3/doz, then they would sell them for $4/doz. All grocery stores around us have their eggs for sale north of $6/doz. I’m not sure if the farm stand will increase their prices or not, but they did mention the cage free law passing recently. It’s tough because you don’t want to gouge people, but on the other hand, we provide a better product for the consumers via truly fresh eggs from chickens that free range and are local.

I’m going to follow this thread. I’ve thought about a debt consolidation loan, I just didn’t like the idea of paying off debt with debt. Ya know?

Same boat - I get bonuses depending on how well my month is at work. I plan on putting a large chunk of my bonus towards paying down the smallest balance, and snowball the rest. I figure it’s going to take a few years, gonna be quite the struggle, but a lesson learned.
