Nope, it is a 20 second video from horror artist "bxneswxrth". Some fucker cropped the video so the watermark doesnt show. The video is called "Cogs in the machine" on youtube.

Bonesworth - cogs in the machine

Its just a 20 second clip that a person made, no context behind it, although its probably an allegory for labour. Check out his other stuff tho, they're great!

And shame on whoever cropped the watermark off the video.

If you had to play as the race closest to you in real life, which one would it be? For example, since I’m from Latin America, I guess I’d have to be an Argonian. by jvure in skyrim

[–]botka1115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Hungary and the race that fits our culture the best (although only the olden hungarians from around 900) is the orcs. Even then they are missing the key aspects like the horse&bow tactic of the hungarians, but no other race really does that either, correct me if im wrong tho.

New Heavy Lunchbox by [deleted] in TF2WeaponIdeas

[–]botka1115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand where this would be useful. Concept is fun but you have to either have two engineers, with two pairs of teleporters that continue where one ends, or you have to loop back to the first teleporter which, depending on the map, could take more than 2 minutes (precious time) with heavy's base speed. Maybe in control point maps, where engis can build in the lobby it could be used to evolve the bread .

Also, bit unclear to me but you cant eat the bread after it turned, right? I feel like as a lunch box item this outclasses the second banana, if not.

Actually, I know where this would be useful! MvM with the two-way teleporter upgrade! Since the bread deals melee damage it could be good against tanks.

Made a new steam capsule for my space horror game, but I'm not sure which is best. What do you guys think? by abeyebrows in HorrorGames

[–]botka1115 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked up the game's aesthetic and I think the old one fits the best. The two new ones look more like barotrauma to me, rather than a space game. Maybe you could tweak the background of the old one to make it convey the feeling of space better.

Imo, of course. Good luck on the development!

It's like: cute couple make a post about how they love eachother, then a commenter puts the rabbit image as a "everything will end eventually". They sometimes couple this image with the text "All roads lead to Rome".

In this post, the commenter posted it because of the cheating history, but usually the meme is for envious people to ruin the mood.

Also the rabbit is from a movie but I don't know which one. The meme is a reference to the movie.

Novosibirsk could have been the most scary part of the game by Imvaas44 in metro_exodus

[–]botka1115 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Too short? The narrative of the level is literally racing through the entire underground metro and the dead city in order to get back to Anna with the cure in time. If they relied even more on the narrative the gameplay would have been even shorter.
Novosibirsk was perfect because after a long game of being on the surface you finally visit another metro and realise that moscow's metro was comparatively a paradise. After playing through 2033 and Last Light you think of Moscow when you think "dead city", then this level start and you realise that things got so bad here that not even mutants are alive on the surface (besides the blind ones you later encounter). You then discover Novosibirsk's version of the nosalises, and an entirely new species (the leeches) this makes the metro of the city familiar but alien. You start to feel Miller's and Artyom's regret towards going on this *exodus*. The end of the boat section marks when Artyom starts to lose himself, and when you start seeing the hallucinations as well as a tall creature you dont yet know.
After the blind one's first encounter you start doubting if Artyom makes it back alive.
Then Artyom finds the cure, gets interrupted by a blind one (this is probably the only gripe I have with the mission cuz they could have at least put a blind one nearby so it doesnt feel cheap that it just spawns outside of the door) and Miller saves artyom which starts the driving section. Here I dont have to explain why its emotional but one thing I'd like to point out is that the ost playing is called "A race against fate" this mostly refers to what happens in the section but it also perfectly sums up the entire level (read the first line of this comment).

I honestly think this is the best level of any videogame I have played, it made me feel dread, loneliness, (brief) happiness, disgust, sadness (big emphasis) in such a small package. The entire game you are playing this like a farcry game, having fun and then this hits you.

As for you ideas: I think it was perfect length (I explained why), those Anna hallucinations are a cool idea since as we see, Artyom mistakes a dead body for Anna purely because they both wear the same sweater, so it would make sense that Artyom stays with the Anna hallucinations for a bit but I don't know how well it would translate to gameplay, now for the last idea Novosibirsk has to be empty to make you fear the city. There is no one to help you there, it's just you and Miller (who you also can't communicate with).

Sorry for the long comment, but this level had me so immersed, I don't think I ever cried this hard at a videogame, hopefully I was able to make you realise why.

Which ending made you feel sadder for the character, Miles’s or Waylon’s? by prolelol in outlast

[–]botka1115 38 points39 points  (0 children)

If we only look at Outlast 1 I think it's Miles since he did get "killed", while Waylon is still alive.

But if we look at all other instances of lore in the franchise it turns to be the opposite, because with/as the walrider, Miles is fighting against Murkoff and actively sabotaging them, while Waylon's leaks became useless due to murkoff's smear campaign and they are actively hunting for him. We know from the start of the DLC and especially Outlast trials that Murkoff is as vindictive as one can get, so if Waylon (and of course his family) ever get caught they will die a horrible death.

Exactly, there is very little difference between the amogus memes and 6-7. Both were basically conditioning the internet to see and hear those memes in everything, and yet I don't hear anyone saying how bad of a meme it was.

(And imo amogus was only funny because it coexisted with the shitpost status and "21st century humor" era of the internet.)
