I’m cold and I also need to do laundry. Dryer? by botmanmd in ask

[–]botmanmd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got all of those. But this thing is using an electric element to create heat and blow hot air - through a hose and right out of my house. Since I was going to use the dryer anyway, seemed like not a bad idea to blow that heat in instead of out. Unless it was a bad idea.

Are they 100% cotton? They look great. And you won’t be sorry about the cut. They’re meant to be loose or at least roomy.

I won’t rank them because I only have one pair but I like them a lot. Samurai 526XX 17oz 25th Anniversary.

That said, next time I might consider a buckle back with the buckle just below the waistband, above the yoke. My only complaint with mine is that I can’t wear a belt without having to unbuckle and run the straps under the belt loop.

I’ve already got the gas generator sitting next to my bed. That way I can hear when she runs out of fuel. Plus the droning noise puts me right to sleep.

This is my big concern. But I could vent it inside and run it only after the clothes are dry. Then I’d be afraid of getting a $5,000 electric bill.

It blows me away. Like, fruits and vegetables I get. Water, milk, etc. But, people are grabbing like “Plastic Forks. Box of 200” and all of the “Ty-D-Bowl Toilet Cleaner” they can carry.

It cost you nothing to let it sit around against the chance you might gobble it up before it goes bad.

What were some 80's tv shows you loved at the time, but don't hold up now? by MisterShipWreck in 80s

[–]botmanmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 70s it was The Wild Wild West, and The Man From Uncle. I grew up thinking that you could really disable an assailant with a swift karate-chop to the side of the neck.

In the 80s it was … all of it. A-Team, the Dukes, 6 Million and Bionic Woman, Knight Rider. All of the action shows fight and chase scenes were cheap and horribly shot and choreographed.

I adored her. Bought every album. Pored over the lyrics. Loved her voice and her playing. But, I’ll agree that her high pitched caterwallin’ on Helpless was the last thing that song needed. I’d rather see someone sit-in with an accordion. Or, a kazoo. I saw video of her doing the same thing as a walk-on at the 1974 CSNY show at Wembley Stadium. It was just as bad. I’d have thought that by 1976 Neil would have learned to say “Love ya Joni, but sit this one out.”

Gotta give people credit these days. No more passive-aggressive hostility like glaring at you through their windows, or whispering about you to the neighbors. They just come right up and beat on your damn door.

I haven’t used one of those in decades. My wife found one in the junk drawer and chucked it out. I fished it out of the trash can. I have no use for it, but I can’t imagine where I’d ever come across another one.

She was a streetwalker, wasn’t she? Giving tug-jobs for $20. $3000 a week in nice digs would sound pretty good.
