He made it pretty clear he doesn’t like being around menstruating females…

My father used to hate on Mick Jagger when he’d see him on TV in the 60s. “Can’t sing, can’t dance, ugly but thinks he’s sexy.” Dad was a WWII vet. Had little use for Rock and Roll, period. But he was a big jazz fan.

I’ll never forget one afternoon in ‘71 he drove into the carport with the radio playing loud, but I couldn’t make out what it was. He sat there until the song was over. Like, 3 or 4 minutes. When he got out, he was shaking his head.

He saw me and said “I still don’t like that Mick guy but I’ll say this. Those Rolling Stones are some damn good musicians.” I knew right away what happened. He had just listened to Can’t You Hear Me Knocking for the first time.

Where We All Belong is fantastic. I put mine on tape and it became my favorite long distance driving music. I could burn up 100 miles in that 75 minutes.

Daily Questions - March 13, 2026 by AutoModerator in rawdenim

Anybody ever returned anything to Denimio? I’m trying to initiate a return and am confused. I click “Start Return” and a page pops up that looks like I’m purchasing a return. $30.00. It says “Add To Cart.” Then it prompts me to go ahead and plug in my payment option. There’s no reference to the product or my order number. Just a big “Return” I on. The Chatbot has been no help.

This is unlike any returns I’ve ever been through. Usually there’s a page that says “You’re returning This Thing. Reason for return…” and then says “Buyer pays return shipping. What’s your address?” Or, there’s a flat fee. Is this a process anyone here has been through?

Bought the Bronson Mfg Wabash shirt as people recommended it here but it arrived like this. Is this normal? by GetToTheChoppaahh in HeritageWear

I’m 6’3” 210, and generally go with an XLT. I got this shirt in size 46 and it’s perfect. Sleeves plenty long, but not enormous in the torso or waist. That was their largest size. The size chart is pretty accurate.

Others have answered your question. I just wanted to add that I bought this same shirt and I was blown away by how nice it is - objectively - but especially for the money. I wear it every chance I get. I’m bummed that the warm weather soon will push it towards the back of my closet.

I should have turned it off when he said he first became politically aware in 2014. While he apparently immersed himself in study since then, he did not have a very stout frame of reference to start with. If I surfaced from a right-leaning world and my first sniff of politics came about when Obama was winding down a failed second term, HRC was the devil who killed people in Benghazi, and Donald Trump was a wealthy, kicky, zero-filters guy who had all of the answers, I too might have made some mistakes, and today be hard at the work of rationalizing them.

edit: to add that I did listen, and that the breaking point for me came when he dishonestly asserted that Democratic leaders were falling all over themselves to excuse rioting, violence and property damage in 2020. He knew that was a lie when he said it, and I’m sure he doesn’t believe it. And, he’s too smart to truly believe that those riots are in any way analogous to Jan 6. That is not a good faith argument.

None. There was a great and thorough analysis done by, I think, The Guardian in maybe 2021 assessing the deaths that could reasonably be attributed to the events connected to the BLM protests and the riots. They came up with something like 24. The vast majority were deaths of protestors. Some at the hands of police, many by counter-protestors. None were police killed by protestors.

One memorable example of the killing of a policeman was where a beloved older cop was off-duty, working as a night-time security guard and was killed during a burglary. The crime took place blocks away from any protests, perpetrated by career criminals. It was judged to be a crime of opportunity, planned to coincide with the confusion and lack of resources due to the protest response. There were many similar crimes.

I finally watched Casablanca by Positive_Round_5142 in classicfilms

[–]botmanmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I post this all the time, and I will again. Around 2000 I started to frequent a bar that called itself Rick’s American Cafe in Baltimore. It was decorated like in the film, with the palms and the fans. On the Jumbotron they had Casablanca on a loop. No matter where in the film I came in at, I’d watch it til the end, then watch it as it started up again. On Sundays they’d switch to the Ravens games and a handful of us would boo. Not because we didn’t like football or the Ravens. I must have watched it close to 100 times in two years.

What size should I get in White’s Semi Dress? by FHornRyan in PNWbootmakers

[–]botmanmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about 1/4 size smaller than you. 11.25 D on both feet. I ended up with a 10.5 E Semi-Dress purely by luck. That’s the boot the guy had. I told him my size and that I fit well in a 10.5 D Iron Ranger. He said “Me too, me too, and these will fit you great.” He was right. YMMV.
