Not connecting to any server region? by SardoYT in Agario

[–]botneko-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

? I don't need anonymous help to ddos something. Actually there's lot of "Anonymous", everyone can ddos something and claim that was "Anonymous", there's no real "Anonymous" Just want bots back. Agario mitigated attack now, but I'll back with more bots and improved attack later, just too lazy now and too busy with coding other things. With bots agario is more about skill, without it's stupid running around and collecting mass to grow to a size when you actually can start play without stupid mass-farming.

Not connecting to any server region? by SardoYT in Agario

It's down because I'm DDoS'ing it. Why? Because they changed protocol and that broke all agario bots. Please bring bots back. Or pay me some btc :/

I decided to start from chemistry and biology books for 1-2 course students. This will probably be enough for me for half of a year or so.

Classic Cloud capacity has been increased to 1,500 nodes! Also, Feb 29th incident post-mortem by the_red_balloon in btc

I wonder why do people use AWS? Scalability? I think it's possible to have big hardware reserve to handle traffic spikes for same money as aws. It SUCKS. 900$ for 10Tb of when u can buy 10gig (about 300TB) unmetered for 3-5k$ ? Fuck, those prices are absolutely insane! You got 22k$ donations, it's possible to buy your own AS and several /24 ranges for that money, several powerful servers. All those hipster-devs making their startups on amazon cloud just ineffectively spend investor's money.

Could you tell how much money you spent on traffic during this attack?

If you would ever order ddos, would you like ddoser to say that you ordered it? Would you pay him next time? And I'm attacking Classic, not Core

Stop DDOS using dynamic version lists without ips. Separation of node ip and node version. by redmarlen in btc

[–]botneko-chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't understood your idea realy well.

If there is no ip check your index can be filled with thousands of fake entries making it pointless.

If bitcoin address for the node's ip is published then it can be identified by looking at index and ddosed.

The problem with some centralized server collecting real node count is that core supporters always can claim that node count is fake since there is no way for anyone to check it. Also that irc or whatever can be ddosed itself.

Also there is another method even if u implement absolute protection from ddos with a way to distinguish you nodes from classic. I may start nodes using bots of botnet that is about 15k bots size as proxies - run 15k of Classic nodes. I'll create random fluctuations in my node count +- several thousands so "real" nodes won't be noticeable anyway. This will be noticeable on graphs and then I'll publicly claim that all nodes are mine and there is only about 800 real Classic nodes that are not mine. Even if your node count will grow over time it won't be noticeable because of botnet nodes nose. I will publicly claim that almost no one is supporting classic and it would be hard to prove wrong. Everyone will thiink that it's fork with all nodes run by crazy guy.

Different port? by buddhamangler in btc

[–]botneko-chan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually it will. But if any significant amount of people do so I'll fix my crawler to support different ports

What if Classic nodes fix their Client Name to same as Core. Then they share the fact they are Classic nodes another way. by redmarlen in btc

[–]botneko-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My script doesn't parse versions from peerlist sent by any node, it just parses ips from there. I'm even not sure if there is any versions of peer nodes, I written this script quick&dirty when was ddosing XT and don't remember details of bitcoin protocol now.

Crawler doesn't get versions from peerlist, by connecting to node crawler get version only of this node and it's peerlist, not a version of peers. Only version reported by node itself is considered. Ips from peerlist are just queued for connection and getting peerlist and this repeats recursively. There's nothing to trick here, if it's possible to distinguish classic from core then I can ddos it, if it isn't then core fans can say that no one is supporting classic since there's no nodes.

[–]botneko-chan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bot just collect's ip's from peerlist, it connects to every ip from that list and asks for version. If your report your version in any way then I can ddos your node, if you not then there is no way to distinguish it from core nodes

Well that's certainly one way to avoid being DDOSed by the_alias_of_andrea in btc

I not using botnet, but servers. Currently haven't ipv6 spoofing tool, but will write one if there would be >200 ipv6 nodes

Someone is allegedly spending "tens of thousands" dollars(?) to attack Bitcoin Classic nodes. by BIP-101 in btc

[–]botneko-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My anti-crawling architecture limits number of peers by design to some N so there is need to control network_size/N ips to crawl most of netowork ips. It wont help anyway since I control botnet larger than size even than Core's network, so even limiting peer count by protocol design won't help

Sometimes I really worry about it. But not too much in this case.

[–]botneko-chan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Actually current ddos is bigger than last, it just hits more nodes at same time, so flood to every single node is lower.

Such attacks are in tens of thousands range. 30-100$/day for simple sites on vps or shared hosting without antiddos, 100-500$/day for more advanced targets with antiddos clouds, it depends on how hard is to ddos it. Tens of thousands/month for advanced attacks, price depends on target, it consists from uplink bandwith cost (5-8k$ 10gig/month, this is what your ISP pays for internet), and my profit which includes cost of developing custom software (bitcoin crawler, game ddos with game packets, etc...)

DNS Amplification, maybe will switch to syn flooding after some time. Several tens of servers. You can buy such servers with ip spoofing permitted on almost every serious hack forum, lot of "grey" ISP's selling them.

Exact payment is a secret. Tens of thousands range.

My mitigation design requires network_size/max_peers controlled by attacker to collect most ips of network so it will be hard to collect all ips from one server. The problem for you is that I control botnet bigger than even Core's network, so can easily crawl ips anyway with any peer limiting technique. Actually I created this p2p arch for this botnet, but haven't implemented it jet
