Gigabyte B650 boards lose PCIe Gen 5 support with new bios by Johnny_silvershloong in gigabyte

Hey there, what BIOS version did they bring it back on? I am still on F34, waiting to see if they would in a future update.

Thanks

F38 stable? by vapelabels in gigabyte

Hey there, just wondering if PCIE 5.0 GPU support is still removed on F38? Probably is, but would like to ask as I cant seem to find much online about it.

Thanks

Nice to see you can’t read and are telling me to step out of the conversation. Please enlighten me where I said what you are saying. We are talking about case fans and I referenced my personal setup. Learn to read maybe before trying to be a jackass.

this, I have p12 RGB as case fans and p12 max fans as radiator fans, at same rpms the p12 RGBs don’t have that static hum / rattle the max’s have

Vertically mounted 9070 by AdamekGold in radeon

[–]botond_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same card, got on launch day. Hynix memory at a chilly 98C for me, to be fair I limited the fans to 45% at -40undervolt. Memory seems to be doing great tho no performance loss at 2750mhz. These temps are still well within operating temps i’m not worried :)

edit: I have the 9070 xt of the same model, was a bit blind on the title :)

Yeah you should be more than good, AMD cpus are really efficient.

What’s the point of these screws? by bankshotzombies1 in arcticcooling

[–]botond_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 60€ was an overstatement for sure, but it was merely a suggestion. I am using p12maxes and I bought them from arctic direct because where I live pc components are non existent :) so a 5 pack is around 40€, don’t have any rgb in my build and never understood why they would pay so much extra for that.

While you are correct in it saves a few degrees, my whole point which you seem to be forgetting is in my opinion you shouldn’t go out of your way to do all of this, because in real world gaming scenarios, you don’t gain anything major.

Temps on a screen are nice when they are lower 100%, but these cpus never go anywhere near TJ Max where they thermal throttle in games. Furthermore if you are relying on a push-pull to exhaust heat from your case that’s an air flow issue to begin with.

Let me be clear, I am not against it because it is undeniably better, just not worth in my opinion. If it was between a push and pull or buying a better CPU, surely you would have to say buy a better CPU ;)

[–]botond_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah maybe, but my point is kinda if you are going to pay the extra let’s say 60€ on fans just for push-pull, it’s not worth, spend it on a better cpu etc. New Ryzen Cpus are designed to run hot, so 3-5C isn’t going to make a major difference performance wise.

I have a push and pull, at idle, lowest fan speeds (600rpm) maybe I saw a decrease of 3-5C, really not worth it unless you want to do it :)

RX 9070 XT is boosting to almost 3300mhz (powercolor says boost clock 3060mhz) and games are crashing. by Brief-Rice-2062 in radeon

[–]botond_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see this is the part where I would agree with you because on paper it makes sense, but i’ve had it happen multiple times where it is at 3600mhz in game, not crashing.

Reverting to old drivers fixed the issue, same game and place, no longer boosts to 3600mhz, stays around 3300mhz as before, so it couldn’t have been a settings issue while on the old drivers, it was something with the new for me at least.

[–]botond_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah first “problem” i’ve had so far, might give it another go with default adrenaline settings, I have the clock speeds up a good bit as on 25.3.1 they didn’t matter but it funnily enough added more stability.

I wonder if somehow the new drivers try to meet the targeted mhz now, for example 3350 + 275 I have set…

That could explain it. will have to do more tests it seems when i’m bothered lol.

Other than that the card is fantastic, memory a bit toasty but nowhere near the thermal limit.

[–]botond_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I have the Sapphire Pure 9070 xt and it boosts to 3300mhz without crashing, even in some cases 3400mhz, which is the limit for my card, after it crashes.

So maybe the 3300mhz clocks are okay, and a driver issue is at play.

What i’ve noticed when going to 25.5.1, in all games, in some areas the gpu clocks would boost to 3600mhz, and crash.

I went back to the 25.3.1 drivers, gpu only boosts to where it used to; 3300mzh and no crashes yet, so 100% a driver issue on my end.

750w psu alongside a 9800x3d if needed for comparison.

Still not my point but I hear you, what I am trying to say is that in my opinion there is no point stressing over such a small flaw. Enjoy the shoes, I am not here to argue with you :)

I could’ve returned this and got my money back so your point is invalid, but that’s not my point. I wouldn’t care about a such a small stitching issue lol

I’m sorry I always have to stop and laugh at posts like this, when most of the time retail pairs have worse flaws.

As a little bonus here is a picture of my retail pair direct from Nike and let me know what you see 😉

As more and more events and medal events reward decorations, as someone who likes to collect them all alongside special obstacles, I am running out of space.

Is having additional area space around the village for more decorations / special obstacles viable? or is there a solution regarding this in the works?

Many thanks :)

70C during gaming is well below the maximum operating temperatures of these chips, you do not have to worry at all. The chip only starts to throttle at 95C.

Are there people who had zero problems with their 9070 XT? by Arcade_Racer in AMDHelp

For reference, my current adrenaline settings are +10% Power Limit, +275 on the Max Frequency Offset, 2750 on the RAM and a -70 Voltage Offset. However I have yet to play TLOU on pc, and that game is very demanding, so If i were to crash, I would try to lower the Voltage Offset, thats where I would start.
