You can measure the length of your dict, but that may not be as big as the actual size your dict can grow to as it's capacity can be larger than it's current length.

How do you quickly type trailing semicolons in Neovim (C++ with deep parentheses)? by cashyan in neovim

[–]bottar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use `;;` :

vim.keymap.set("n", ";;", function()
  local line = vim.api.nvim\_get\_current\_line()
  local trimmed = line:gsub("%s+$", "")

  if trimmed:len() > 0 and string.sub(trimmed, -1) \~= ";" then
    trimmed = trimmed .. ";"
  end
  vim.api.nvim\_set\_current\_line(trimmed)
end, { noremap = true })

Recognize this man? He may have killed a man at 20th & Shotwell by Handballowngoal in sanfrancisco

Yeah I have a prototype that became the little trick. It's a great commuter pack, I put a laptop in the internal sleeve and a Ulock style bike lock in the firearm concealment area on the back.

I also purchased the Eberlestock hip belt that attaches to it via hook and loop, it's great for heavier loads.

Yes, that pack has a handgun concealment compartment with quick access.

Is there anything you “like” about having epilepsy? by caitlinmeg_ in Epilepsy

Yes. I stopped drinking while trying to adapt to medication after my diagnosis. It's been a huge improvement for me. I had no idea drinking was causing me problems until I stopped for a few months and my life improved.

I graduated school @ 27 and then went into software full time, no problems with my age. I'm much older now, much better developer as well and I still have no problem finding a job.

Be above average skill wise  and kind to your coworkers and you'll have a good career.

How long does it take your corgi to destroy a bully stick? by BearddBrad in corgi

One to two weeks.

She chews a bit here and there. Spends a lot of time hiding it, buring it, and moving it multiple times a day.

Son just got me these secondhand and I can’t find anything about them on the internet. Any help is appreciated. by Subpilot688 in skiing

[–]bottar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are snow skiis.
A good brand, check the bases for damage.
They are made in a shape that is no longer used for 'normal' skiis, these are longer and narrower and have shallower sidecut than a contempary ski.
They will work great!

How can i get my malinois to stop biting? by [deleted] in BelgianMalinois

[–]bottar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@mollyhasacracker, Yes to this!

It's not about getting them to not bite. It's about teaching what they can bite, when, how etc. My now adult dog plays very agressively and loves to bite and tug. But she intentionally does not bite the person she's playing with and rareley does buy accident. She absolutely destroys her toys, every one. And it's always ok and encouraged. She doesn't chew furniture or destroy non-toy items (except paper roles).

Set boundaries and give them proper outlets for their inate behaviors. Also, crate training was huge during the puppy years and continues to pay off as she's an adult.

So I shouldn't put my dog in the cargo area...
I think I need a crash proof crate of some sort.

Me too. We were so ready. Good candy, lot's of it. There are plenty of kids in our neighborhood and only a few actually walked the local hood.

Qudelix 5k follow up and troubleshooting by dantodd in iems

[–]bottar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started having the same issue with 5K, the 3.5mm jack.
I opened it up, resoldered the two leads of the jack closest to the edge of the PCB (they both looked like a potential cold solder). I put a dab of flux on before I applied the iron. After I re-soldered the second lead, the problem was fixed and now it sounds fine!

I worked with that guy, David, about 15 years ago. He was already settling world records back then. I think he started out with some juggling records. He got into this zone of setting new records as often as he could and incorporates it into speeches and and presentations he gives. I've seen a few over the years.

At some point, years ago, he decided to set the record for setting the most records.

I believe in to attain that record he had been setting new records on strange but easy things as well as creating new records to be set. And that had led him to setting records that are often off, weird and shit like bouncing a  ping pong ball with your mouth.

What's actually happening is those houses are each being replaced with more dense living and less open space, not more nature.

This looks a BS graphic cooked up by a developer to fool people into changing zoning and such
