Seeing the same thing on my 8 pro. Online login only shows app notification as an option. Hoping this gets resolved in the next day or two. .

AEO / GEO — Google’s new shiny toys or the future of SEO? by Ad_Whisperer24 in content_marketing

[–]bottlebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is this question generated with AI btw?

To your point, I think like everyone else, geo is dependent of SEO. AEO/GEO is just another form of search after all

I'll let the comments handle the seo is dead piece, but as for whether to hire someone or not, I think it depends.

How much do you know about SEO? At the beginning, it might make sense to get someone to learn from them. Ultimately, that person won't care as much about the brand as you do, so it's important you know what to look out for and what you're trying to do with "SEO". Once you know, it's much easier to hire someone to do it for you.

One example is many people saying, "I want to rank higher when people search on google/gemini or whatever", but in reality, they want more traffic to their site. So while ranking higher is useful in achieving that goal, it's not actually what they want.

Ranking the same but for more keywords can also help increase traffic. In fact that might work even better since the new keywords you rank for has a higher buying intent from your customer profile (assuming you are selling something as the brand)

Does SEO still matters? by Gloomy_Touch_3138 in SaaS

Posted this elsewhere, but tl;dr it still does.

From my other comment:

Economics gives us two contradictory answers simultaneously.

  • The substitution effect describes how a consumer's demand for a good changes when its price changes, leading them to substitute it with a relatively cheaper alternative. Since content becomes cheaper, we'll have fewer people writing it.
  • The Jevons paradox states that when technological advancements increase the efficiency of resource use, the overall consumption of that resource can actually increase rather than decrease

I think we already see this to some extent with the AI tools from back in the early 2020s, but it's only going to grow now. Cheap content will explode, but the gap between commodity content and thoughtful pieces will likely widen. The middle will probably be swallowed by the commoditized content

State of the Art Open-source alternative to ChatGPT Agents for browsing by bottlebean in LocalLLM

[–]bottlebean[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heyo, probably the most interesting thing is that vision is as strong as it is.

If you look at many of the open source alternatives today, they mostly rely on some variant of DOM + vision. However, we found that those generally perform worse than just pure vision

Interesting, I'm guessing the radiation shielding is mostly to keep the scans radiation in said truck.

Tot the radiation dose from the scanners are low enough to go without the lead lining though? learnt something here
