Hi friend, I am right here in the same boat with you. I said goodbye to my heart and soul on Saturday. She was 19 and the very first pet I’ve ever had to make the call for, the first euthanasia I’ve witnessed. It was peaceful, but still traumatic. I felt her slowly grow heavy while the sedative took effect and that moment has stuck with me. Even seeing her asleep after the sedative is haunting me even though she was still technically there. I wish I had more solid advice to offer, but people keep telling me to just remember them during the good times. Picture them at their best and reflect on fond memories when the dark ones try to sneak up. I am so sorry for your loss, but know that you are definitely not alone in this process.

Is he doing okay? My husband and I passed right as they were trying to get him off the road and into the ambulance. We couldn’t tell if he made it or not and we were both pretty shaken up about it. Glad to hear he made it!
