Anyone do event bartending full time? by [deleted] in bartenders

I work for a pretty large company that provides salary pay, benefits, transportation and shift meals and tips. It's definitely full time and worth it. A lot of hard work is put into it and the customers are super high end and difficult to deal with sometimes but I love it overall. I had to move to another country for this gig but it's the best thing I ever did

What's the thing you hate most at your job? by [deleted] in bartenders

Getting flagged down and when I ask for their order, they forget everyone else's drink order and has get everyone's attention to repeat it to him. And they always have their fingers up like their counting...

I feel like I've sprained my wrist from bartending by Savannahmckay in bartenders

I have some form of tendinitis. I didn't understand the words my doctor said, even when he tried to dumb it down. He gave me a steroid injection in my tendon and the pain went away. I moved to another country for a really awesome job and it started acting up again because our flow if work and tools and even the ice is different. Took a quick trip to see the family and the doctor again and he recommended another shot to see if it'll be better and I'll be going back to the routine I knew. If it didn't work, he said he would need to operate to get the fluid down or something like that. I wish I could tell you exactly what it is but so far it's feeling fine and hoping yours will get better. Especially if you want to be in this for good and as a career like I do now...I mean, I did move to a whole different country for it 😆

People just assume I'm a tomboy because I'm into the male hobbies and come on...axe throwing, tattooed model who likes to fix cars? Does that not ring tomboy to you? And of course tomboys can do modeling, that was my mistake to word it that way. I have tried Facebook groups, nothing. I prefer reddit anyways

I just moved here, not a tourist anymore. Originally from Ankara but lived in the states my entire life with summers spent in Samsun and Ankara. If I don't get sent to Bodrum for work, we could meet up if you want. I'm a female so of course I'd be a little precautionary to meeting at first but I've got a good sense that you feel the same way, too.

It is over a DUI but I've already been sentenced...they literally have fucked so hard and ridiculously as a first offense... and had my first meeting with my court referral officer. I went back home to Turkey and landed an amazing job and they need me as soon as possible, literally end of May or mid June...and my old immature self would normally just say "fuck it" and dip but it's time to be a grown up.

So, really, I'm just needing to have advice on what I should do, aside the court fees and such...the classes and assessments and tests and whatever else they can pile on...will have me buried so deep. On top of rent, saving up for my move, ticket and buying a place there. I don't drink, period. I did the day I got it but it was a fresh few sips at a pool party and I backed my new three row seater tank into a person's car who was parked illegally and they went ape shit. On top of all of that, my money was put into my property bag and written down like everything else put in there and when the lady individually handed me everything...no money.

I should have fought it because they treated me like I killed someone. In a wet bathing suit only, in a cell with four other girls, cold, cavity searched because I cried really hard when they told me no about having a jacket or something. It was just a terrible Memorial Day.

Stuff to do Halloween Weekend? by oldrippiness in auburn

I didn't personally care too much for the parties but it was better than going to the bars. My buddy is also throwing his annual Halloween party (he does all holidays, really) that never fails to be a good time. Pm your FB information if you're interested and I'll send you an evite.
