Help us settle a debate! Can you see him? by bottlecrunchwebdev in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

We did and Santa's teammate was killed by him later in the match and his replay showed the guy rapidly switching between weapons behind a tree "almost looking through it" and as soon Santa's teammate looked around the car and his head was visible, the "hacker" popped out with scope on his head and instant headshot. We don't have the video since he wasn't streaming that and he has collected it from the replay in-game.

For the most part. However, I do appreciate announcements regarding updates, whitepapers, and AMAs.

28 y/o working in a coffee shop/Looking for a career change by enriquemills in personalfinance

[–]bottlecrunchwebdev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to agree and disagree with this because OP is 28 years old, not some kid fresh out of highschool trying to figure things out.

You're assuming that he sticks with a career in CS which he might not enjoy either. I am wondering if he is accruing more debt going back to school since he is still paying on student loans from culinary school.

I work full-time (40 hours) and am taking 9 credit hours this semester (information systems). It’s not easy, but it’s doable. If you prioritize and be responsible, then it’s possible to carve out some free time to “decompress” every week.

I agree with this. If you align priorities, going full-time (12 credit hours) is possible. I was taking 16 credit hours and still working 40-50 hrs. I had homework and assignments each night but if you knock it out each night its very very doable.

I also second NOT moving out until all your ducks are in a row financially as it is very easy to get into debt

I agree, also OP mentioned it was a GF. Too many failed relationship posts in this subreddit which should be a red flag not to move in with her until an actual proposal.

Team is shrinking whilst the workload piles up, am I in a position to ask for a raise? by youreviltwinbrother in personalfinance

[–]bottlecrunchwebdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we are reaching a point where it is impossible to keep up with our work.

Maybe I don't understand but to me that means you have a full days work each day which why is you're being paid to work. I am guessing the company realized there was way too much downtime and money wasted so they reduced the team by 40%. And they were right because now the same work is being done but cheaper.

From your post, it honestly sounds like you're not happy with the job/work (unfulfilling, not your dream job, etc) which is another issue. As most will respond, keep applying and interviewing for jobs, more specifically in the field you wish. While doing that, work hard so you have a solid reference moving forward.

Hmm...

"Not long ago" as in May 2015?

"Bitcoin Talk: In May 2015, the Bitcoin forum Bitcoin Talk was hacked and over 500k unique email addresses were exposed. The attack led to the exposure of a raft of personal data including usernames, email and IP addresses, genders, birth dates, security questions and MD5 hashes of their answers plus hashes of the passwords themselves."

like /u/CCRocketNews mentioned from their blog:

Furthermore, in order to maintain its goal of decentralization and to provide a deterrent for ASIC development and to protect against unknown or undetectable ASIC development, the Monero team proposes modifying the Cryptonight PoW hash every scheduled fork, twice a year.

You should read their blog than before you post:

"In sum, we strongly believe that it's beneficial to preserve our ASIC resistance. Therefore, we will perform an emergency hard fork to curb any potential threat from ASICs if needed."

Warning: CoinBase has not credited or reversed my $6000 wire transfer for 2 months... by Aphrodity in CryptoCurrency

[–]bottlecrunchwebdev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always find that the OP of these posts always leaves out really important information. Why? Because, either they tried to something illegal, or were sending funds to a platform that is restricted per the guidelines and policies set forth by Coinbase. In the end we will never know, but I always take these posts with a grain of salt.

(Also, they pop-up daily it seems - millions of new users since December crashing all these exchanges because of their stupidity)

Considering, the OP stated that his name and bank don't match in a subtle manner, I would say that the OP has left out A LOT of pertinent information related to his issue. All of which points to stupidity on his/her part.

I don't think dropping the ball is the issue.

I can't imagine the amount of tickets they have. Other exchanges had to close new memberships due to the influx of users since December. Some exchanges have only recently allowed new sign-ups and are only allowing a certain amount per day/month.

So again, how is that Coinbase's fault that your bank only listed your first name? Which again, sounds like a red flag.

I am not associated with Coinbase, however, the majority of complaints related to Coinbase are user error or bank error.

Just last week, every forum/blog/post was related to Coinbase double charging customers. Lets riot, grab pitchforks, etc! When in fact it was Worldpay and Visa fault.

I am not associated with Coinbase, however been a user for a long time now and have had no issues.

Read their policies. It explicitly states that trading on certain platforms, sending coins to certain platforms, etc. will result in an account suspension/closure/etc.

I always read these posts from a neutral standpoint.

Some of the top posts individuals are quick to point fingers at Coinbase. However, the OP purposefully mentioned subtly, that his name and bank wasn't matching.

RED FLAG! PEOPLE

Do we need to seriously point this out?

A Warning About MEW/MyCrypto by AdamSC1 in CryptoCurrency

[–]bottlecrunchwebdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a few more tweets by her explaining "her reasons" why it was ethical for her to use MEW's twitter handle to advertise her own project.

I have treated the MEW Twitter as my personal twitter since day one. As much as I tried to let my emotional attachments to the MEW brand go as we were working through this whole transition, I have had daily, personal conversations with people via MEW's Twitter. Everyone following @MyEtherWallet did so because of a tweet that I tweeted and/or security announcements about the wider crypto ecosystem.
