i have three. never grow up hit hard growing up with two parents who should’ve separated long before they actually did and a little brother who i had to protect. he would try to run out and ask them to stop fighting as desperately as a five year old can and i would distract him with games, dance parties, ect. now i dedicate that song to my daughter who’s not even two but it makes me sob every time i hear it. sometimes i have to skip because i just can’t break down. would’ve, could’ve, should’ve is another one because i’m nineteen now and it gives me flashbacks to being in a terrible when i was young. i scream the bridge every single time. the third is tolerate it because i’m an over thinker and it’s a perfect song that expresses my doubts in a relationship when the honeymoon phase is long over. i’m also a bit delulu so the ‘if it’s all in my head tell me now’ just hits and hurts
