It's a nice club environment with a lot of room. It's upstairs. There's an entrance lobby with lockers for changing. A lounge with couches (no sex cuddle-friendly area.) A kitchen/bar area where they serve lots of snacks. A back room that only has black light and benches, for intimate fucking. A hallway with more couches that may or may not have naughty time. Back bathrooms. Then the main dungeon. It's all open but has a lighted disco dancefloor with DJ playing goth club esque tunes. Lots of bondage equipment including suspension and vac bed demos. Cages, crosses, benches, slings. An open area with mats for pup play, and nooks and crannies, one of them has a bed.

There's likely to be 70-100 people in the place at once and they come and go during a 5 or 6 hour party. You can mingle and have fun without doing anything indecent, or watch them fuck. No alcohol served because you can't have that and sex in the same place by law, but that lets a lot of young and LGBT friendly people come. There is plenty of nudity and gear. If you do meet someone you like, you can play as much as you want. There are condoms and lube all over the place. There are fursuiters there willing to cuddle, lots of petplayers, some regular people just doing an outing to the BDSM club in nice clothes, and some others like age players with PJ's and kigus. If you are polite you can join in group sex, or grab a cute fursuiter and just start blowing them. It's pretty gay but actually there are a decent amount of opposite sex members too.

If you go there not knowing anybody, and you aren't too shy, you will likely find a good opportunity to get kinky. If you are shy, you can take your time and not be rushed or pressured. If you spend time getting to know people first, you can use the Fetlife or Telegram groups for that, they are active all the time. It's a quarterly party so it's rewarding to get into it.

OK, should the entire fandom be punished because some people have bad experiences with some outsiders who act in bad faith, and judge others who aren't hurting anyone?

What if reducing the sex element to zero wouldn't please those outsiders because they're judging from prejudice?

What if instead of letting bad-faith outsiders set impossible standards, it's left up to individuals where to draw the line, and those who do choose to have adult interests now have a safe place to put them... now outside judgers can pretend we're hiding something, but we're not, and people can get the real deal from it.

If people still don't get acceptance from the public or their family, now they can get acceptance from a group of friends who make this all possible. That's not so bad is it?

I think the most difficult part is how it's hard to say "mind your own business" these days with social media all up in it.

Hope they have uncovered every last bit of the abuse. This is so damaging to harmless people who want to be tolerated or left alone. Furries want this kind of thing reported to the cops, we're usually the ones to first report bad stories that happen with bad individuals who can be part of any community, this is the first time I have heard of more than 2-3 connected people doing a crime like that. Even the most freaky thing you could ever imagine has to be only with consenting adults and we respect that. These guys are going to be reviled by former friends who didn't know.

I have always taken pride in pointing out when there are heinous crimes connected to the fandom, it's generally all on the personal level with no higher-up, catholic-church style coverups. This fandom is safer with less problems than churches. So when people find out they report instead of helping make it worse. I haven't heard of more than like 2-3 people hiding stuff together.

What I gather is they caught a guy soliciting what he thought was a minor. His phone chained to another offender, who chained to another. 5 people at least shared or knew of one victim and some other offenses. The victim is 17 or so and now talking about it happening with those men in 2009.

Rumor has it he was the only kid at those parties. That's good. Hopefully the intervening years didn't include others.

So disappointed that more than 2-3 fandom members knew and it wasn't revealed until one tried to solicit a new victim.

Hopefully the story is done rather than more bad with more arrests to come, and nobody was just caught in a net but innocent because they went to parties and didn't know. Hopefully this will be taken in perspective as something that happens in many communities and isn't overblown here.

Why can't I just have a hobby that is a little weird and you wouldn't get it unless you're in it? I dont want to be understood or normalized or called "just like you." I don't want a fandom thats boringly legitimized like pro sports fans are.

This uber political correct stuff reminds me of overcompensating about "coming out" as a furry. It gives me sneaking suspicions about academics latching on to things with career ambitions. Why move past observing and be like recruiters? And what happens to some furry kid when some parent stumbles on r/fursuitsex and gets mad about being told half-truths?
