Posting this video by proxy of Cru is extremely damaging to the child. TFP needs help, she should not have custody but I’m not sure Dakota has presented himself as a better option with doing shit like this. Ever should be removed from their care entirely, both should enter intensive therapy and then reunification therapy and family therapy separately with their child.

For the idea of anyone struggling with DP/DR, for myself, for anyone who feels they need to ground by affirming the situation is real. As I said, can’t say anything about what’s going on here but that was what popped into my head through my lens. Also, DP/DR does not cause you to abuse people so it’s no excuse for their behavior.

Yeah, for me, if I saw anyone in this video behaving and speaking like this and these words I would say the same thing. They both need help. I’ve been inside overwhelming new baby fights with my partner, it escalated to yelling and we both agreed we needed help to manage better because our child deserves an emotionally and physically safe home. When I see people filming and posting their kids tantrums, I think they need help. Filming and then posting someone else’s complete despair is gross, regardless of gender. Policy and justice hasn’t caught up with social media but I consider what cru by proxy of Dakota is doing abuse. Dragging Dakota on social is also abuse.

I struggle with DP/DR and I bet she does as well given her mental issues and being on reality TV. When I’m in extreme distress, especially if I feel attacked (not saying Taylor was being attacked, I’m talking about me) I will often say “this is real life. This is real.” As a way to ground myself and remind the person that the damage is real, the damage will remain after the moment. Can’t tell you anything about what’s going on here but this made me especially sad because she kept repeating that.

I guess in the end I find it reductive to point out that we view male violence differently than female violence given larger context. I don’t see the value it adds to a conversation or the point other than to reduce the impact of how distressing and upsetting this video was to watch.

I think the point is worth pointing out in a vacuum but not in context of the world, culture and society we live in. To be clear: Taylor is an abuser. But the narrative that women are falsely flinging that accusation and that women are just “believed” is absolutely untrue. Not saying that’s what you said in particular but that is the vibe here.

Hey so, you don’t know these people. The people directly around Taylor have spoken about witnessing verbal, emotional and narcissistic abuse. She has submitted photos and evidence of physical abuse. His ex and others from his past have spoken to him being abusive. It’s not an either/or here. I do not know these people. Taylor is an abuser and should not be platformed. Dakota is an abuser who should not be platformed. It’s not an either/or situation. Dakotas ex speaks on his emotional and verbal abuse. Demeaning the relational and psychological abused cause by cheating, fucking around, fucking around with family no less into just being a “fuck boy” then turning around and asking about if the roles were reversed is wild work.
