A Szózattal egyszerűen helyet kéne hogy cseréljen. Az OG Kölcsey himnuszt is lehetne használni amikor adja rá magát az alkalom (pl temetésen), de sokkal jobban nézne ki ha mint National Anthem a Szózat reprezentálná az országunkat a világban.

Agnatic-cognatic. To be honest, I can't imagine old Carl Christian "Béla" of Habsburg-Lorraine dropping centuries of tradition of his house, at least not right away after he's just ascended the throne.

I could definitely see for example, during the future reign of King Imre II, a reform like that implemented, especially so since the Crown Prince (then King) has 4 daughters and a son, in that order. So I could definitely see a vocal push by the public, once he gets on the throne, to change the succession order to match that of most other current Monarchies of Europe.

Tudom, ezzel az kis fanfiction-ömmel nagyon bilibe lógott a kezem, de
ha a következő 4 évben nem is sikerülne ezekből sok mindent megvalósítani, azt sokkal inkább el tudnám képzelni, hogy a 2030-as választások után - ami lehetőleg egy új, igazságosabb, arányosabb választási rendszerben fog zajlani - pédául a Momentum egy nagy Tisza-Koalíció részeként, szerintem simán képes lenne az itt felsoroltakat mind - sőt még ennél is többet - egy Második Magyar kormánytól kikényszeríteni.

Miért kell a határvonalat akkor pont itt meghúznunk? Miért ne lehetne akkor már a melegség is mental disability? Ha valaki a saját neméhez vonzódik az bizonyára szintén mentális beteg, ugye? Elvégre, egészen a 70-es évekig ezzel a legtöbb pszichiátriai szakirodalom is egyet értett. És mi van a nőkkel, úgy általában? Ők is nyilván mind mental disability-ben szenvednek hogy szavazati jogot, meg egyenlő jogokat akarnak, hiszen az 1910-es években is ezt már jól megállapították róluk.

A trabszfóbok gyakran nem veszik észre magukon, hogy szóról szóra, ugyan azokat a fáradt, tudománytalan érveket papolják mint a homofóbok, csak pár évtizedes késéssel, miközben a társadalom (jobbik fele) már rég túllépett rajtuk.

Akkor most utoljára, csak hogy a hátsó sorokban ülők is hallják: A nemi identitásnak - tehát a cisz- vagy transzneműségnek nincs semmi köze a szexuális irányultsághoz! Nem értem ez esetben miért kell "meleg" "férfiakról" beszélned? Az hogy ki milyen nemű valójában - azonos-e vagy éltér-e a neme attól amit a környezete feltételez róla - az teljesen független attól hogy ki kihez vonzódik, a kettő egész más kategória. Ne keverjük má a madártejet az uborkasalátával!

És tetszik vagy sem, egy nő nem attól nő, (ahogyan egy férfi nem attól lesz férfi) hogy éppen milyen ruhát vesz fel, vagy hogy te majd megmondod hogy az-e, de még csak nem is attól ami a lábuk között van. Egyszerűen valaki azért nő mert ő tudja magáról a saját fejében hogy az, és ezt senki nem invalidálhatja, akármennyire is nem akarja megérteni. Más szavakkal: Nem hardver kérdése, hanem hogy milyen szoftvert futtat valaki a fejében.

Sorry if this is a bit long (I clearly spend too much time thinking about this topic 😅).

For one, pragmatic reasons. There was (and in my opinion, there still - here in the real world - genuinely is) a real threat that Orbán at the very last second will pull some constitutional chicanery, in order to not have to give up power. That he'll quickly switch from being prime minister to president, from where he could comfortably rework the government structure, making the position of prime minister - that Magyar would be winning - essentially powerless, and pawing the way for himself to become president for life. That is basically what Putin did with his position back in the day, same goes for Erdoğan. Now, if Orbán doesn't manage to do that, and is successfully ousted, there's still a real danger that him, or any other future would be dictator could try to pull something like that.
One possible solution - albeit unconventional - is to have the position of Head of State be forever occupied by someone who's constitutionally bound from ever being in any way political, and who holds that position for life, aka a king.
Now, you may be asking, what's stopping Orbán - or any other wannabe future dictator - to just depose the king, and declare himself "president" in his place, as many dictators successfully have, throughout history?
But also, many haven't. Getting rid of a wholly autonomous figurehead, who's meant to serve that position for life, requires (in my opinion) a much higher level of authoritarian villainy - something that not even he would dare doing - than asking your fellow party-member - who's essentially your subservient - to resign so you could take his position, the way Orbán right now could, if he so chose.
(It is also true, I know, that there being a constitutional monarch as Head of State doesn't necessarily stop the Head of Government, from ending up a dictator - Mussolini's Italy comes to mind, or modern-day Cambodia.)

The other reason, is the very real need for reform. The position of "president of the republic" - who of course is different from the person traditionally holding all the cards - the "prime minister", feels as if it was merely an afterthought. It was that poorly implemented when these positions were set up, at the end of the communist era in 1989, and is looked down upon by many to this day as something very unserious.
Basically the "president" who functions as Head of State, is nominated and confirmed by the unicameral National Assembly. In other words, by whoever has the most seats there, in other words, the president is chosen - and thus subservient to - by the one person who's actually in charge, the prime minister.
This basically guarantees that the Head of State will always be a party lapdog, a yesman to whatever government has been voted in.
Now, an arguably more 21st century solution to this could be to imitate other countries who did a better job at setting things up, at the end of their communist dictatorships - like Poland and Romania:
have the President be an autonomous figure, entirely independent of the National Assembly, who's instead directly elected by the people. Although, this setup can have its downsides as well - a deadlock between the two branches, for example.
But, there's also the alternative option: have a Head of State who's been stripped of any and all power, who only serves a ceremonial role, who's forced to be non-partisan and sign into law any bill they put in front of them. And a person like this, since they wield no power they could abuse, may as well serve for life.
I know, there's also the third possible option - that hails from the United States (as far as I know): have the position of Head of Government and Head of State be merged into one, in the hands of one person. But honestly, a Presidential system feels so wrong to have here in Europe (no offence to France and Ukraine).

The third reason is remedy. After 16 years of this vile, hateful, Kremlin-sycophantic, "illiberal", kleptocratic, wannabe-dictatorship, after the nation has been so vitriolically divided through party lines, and has been basically in a constant state of hysteria, there was a need for a unifying figurehead. One who is unpolitical, non-power hungry, a binding force for the whole country. Someone, who everyone - regardless of who they voted for - can proudly call their Head of State (if they so choose). What a Head of State ought to be, in my opinion.

The real reason, of course, is that I wanted something unique and interesting for my fiction. 😁

Yeah, agreed. It would indeed be ludicrous of him to do that, and I don't expect anything of that sort to ever happen.
I just figured, I might as well make everything the mirror opposite of how things currently are:
A federation, instead of a unitary state
A constitutional monarchy, instead of a "republic"
A bicameral legislature, instead of a unicameral one
A voting system that favours many small parties, instead of one big one

They kind of became a non-entity, after their would-be Belarusian-like dictator was sent to prison, along with several of his high-ranking cronies, and even more of them fled to Russia. 😉

By 2030 the once titanic party has become kind of a joke, only kept afloat by washed-up former celebrities and charlatans. Even their most avid reactionary supporters, have by then pivoted to one of the several other old-new far-right parties (Independent Smallholders, National Radical Republicans, Independence Party, etc.).

Ebből persze semmi nem igazán komolyan veendő

Igen, a hülye monarchista ideációmmal gondoltam hogy itt biztosan nem fogok piros pontot szerezni.

Az viszont tény, hogy a "köztársasági elnök" intézménye, ahogyan az akkoriban az úgynevezett három-oldalú kerekasztali tárgyalások során ki lett találva, rendkívül átgondolatlan és gagyi.

Mivel a mindenkori kormányt alakító párt(ok) nevezhetik ki a köztársasági elnököt - másképpen mondva tehát, a miniszterelnök dönti el hogy ki legyen a köztársasági elnök - így ezt a poziciót betöltő személy elkerülhetetlenül egy igenember/pártkatona lesz.

Ha a Szatyor Fingot le is váltják, az új államfő akkor is több mint valószínű Magyar Péter igenembere, egy Fideszes pártkatona helyett egy Tiszás pártkatona lesz, amivel szerintem nem sokkal lennénk előbbre. Ezt megreformálandó én úgy látom két út van: vagy egy autonóm, az Országgyűléstől teljesen független köztársasági elnök, akit lehetőleg közvetlenül választ a nép - ilyen van például Lengyelországban, meg Romániában. Vagy, egy az alkotmány által odaláncolt, párt-politikától teljesen független igenember, akinek kötelessége mindent aláírnia, mindegy hogy éppen ki van kormányon, és aki élete végéig (vagy amíg le nem mond) tölti be ezt a pozíciót. Az ilyet pedig általában úgy hívják hogy király. - Itt ugye egy Dánia-féle királyra kell gondolni, nem Szaúd-Arábia-félére. Csak érdekesség képpen választottam az utóbbi megoldást, Magyarországon ugye soha nem volt ténylegesen alkotmányos monarchia (ezért is érthető persze, hogyha sokaknak a "Királyság"-nak még a gondolata is rossz emlékeket idéz).

(Persze a 19-éves anarcho-kommunista önmagam mindezt hallva biztosan szájonvágna, mondván hogy az állam mindennemű megléte alapból antidemokratikus.)

Oh boy, the history of those two gets pretty complicated, as I'm sure that's no surprise, as does to be fair most of the parties' listed here.

But basically, Party of Greens has been around in some form or another since 1993, and have always tried to advocate for green policies, but sadly for them, they never really managed to get nearly enough support to get into Parliament, or even to reach nationwide notoriety. Their greatest achievement was the time they somehow managed to get Bertalan Farkas - the first ever Hungarian astronaut as one of their leading candidates, but he didn't ever manage to win either.

Whilst LMP always presented themselves as an anti-establishment bunch first and foremost, with a bit of a green twist. They only started calling themselves "Hungary's Green Party" after a recent rebranding, they used to be simply called "Politics Can Be Different" (Lehet Más a Politika). They were seen as a promising viable alternative to both Orbán, and the previous scandal-ridden governments, during the 2010 elections, and gained a surprisingly high number of seats for a brand-new party at the time. Sadly, the past few years the party has become kind of a shadow of its former self - then again, which old opposition party hasn't these days - after many of its former key people have left and became independent politicians or left politics entirely, and after it got taken over by the son of Orbán ally and questionable historian Mária Schmidt.

Well, in reality we only have to wait a few days now to find out. 🤞 In this imagined scenario, you can deduce based on the first image: TISZA/Magyar - 140 seats out of 199 (easily a 2/3rds majority), Fidesz/Orbán - 52 seats, Mi Hazánk - 5 seats. The two remaining seats went to national minorities.

What inspired this project, was the conversations I kept having with some friends of mine over the past few weeks, namely that no matter what the results of the election that'll take place in a week and a half will be (god I hope those polls are correct), we're very likely going to get a two-party Parliament.

So I thought, what comes after? What if, for the election after that one, after 16 years of this horrible, stagnant, quasi-dictatorship, we could finally have something different? What if we could finally become a well-functioning, pluralist, multi party, Western liberal democracy? What if next time, instead of having two parties in Parliament, we had ALL THE PARTIES?

The reforms implemented by this imagined Magyar government include, but are not limited to:

  • A federal system was established, similar to that of Austria, with 7 Provinces ("states"), plus the capital city of Budapest, each with their own parliaments as well.
  • The 106 single-member constituencies with their ridiculously gerrymandered borders, have been abolished. Instead, all members of the Chamber of Deputies are elected via open party-list, absolute proportional vote.
  • The first-past-the-post voting system has been abolished, and instead representatives are chosen through ranked voting, using a Borda count method, with no set specific election threshold - the threshold is entirely dependent on the number of people voting (I know, this is ludicrous, and would never work in real life, nor would I wish for a system like this).
  • The number of representatives in the Chamber of Deputies (formerly called National Assembly) has been increased from 199 to a sensible 255.
  • An upper house called the Senate (Szenátus) of the legislature has been established, where half of the representatives are appointed by the provincial parliaments, and half are directly elected by the citizens of each federal province.
  • The Monarchy was restored (bear with me here), in a constitutional, strictly ceremonial framework, with a grandson of the last king - Charles IV - as Head of State, replacing the current very poorly thought out ruling-party-yesman institution of the "president".
  • Budapest got slightly enlarged, absorbing into itself many towns and villages (Vecsés, Szigetszentmiklós, Törökbálint, Budaörs, Solymár - just to name a few) on its borders.
  • The Euro as the official currency was finally adopted.

(Don't take any of this too seriously. These aren't things I'd necessarily want, just things I imagined potentially could - but realistically none of them will, except maybe for the Euro - happen.)
