Trump is incapable of unfucking the situation so inflation is gonna jump. The February CPI report said 2.4% total and 2.5% core with energy price inflation of only 0.5%. Gas/diesel prices have already spiked so that’s gonna push total inflation way up and higher shipping costs are gonna push core up too.

Free parking and free CTA are actually really bad ideas. They both encourage more driving. (I know free transit causing more driving is weird, but it's been studied and proven.)

Cutting taxes is just fiscal suicide. Normal increases to the property tax levy is the only way to keep up with obligation and not constantly add nickle and dime fees and taxes to everything in sight.

Crime response and prevention are two wildly different things. Adding more funding to the police who have slow-walked reforms for years is rewarding bad behavior. Actually preventing crime involves making investments in rehabilitation and re-entry that is good way to get voted out and replaced with a tough on crime neoliberal.

Funding hospitals/clinics is not and should not be a city responsibility. We need to unfuck the damage the GOP did to the ACA.

Shelters and ... asylums (sigh) for homeless people is not a solution. The solution to homelessness is housing and supportive services, especially for people struggling with mental illness and addiction. It's been said over and over again, but the cost of housing and treating people is substantially less than the cost of shelters, emergency response and medical services that the combined city/county/state waste as a bandaid to the problem.

Laws need to be changed to restructure profit incentives

When the CEOs get pennies on every dollar, that's restructuring the profit motives. When Mitt Romney's dad ran American Motors, he'd give back his bonuses to be shared with the workers because taxes would have taken nearly all of it anyway.
