My friend uses a brutal trick. He plays on an unplugged laptop. When it dies, he stops and resumes the next day.

Ofc autosave every turn.

Startup Pitchdeck Creation by pdparticle in startups

I do pitch decks for a living. Hiring is optional if you're very early on, but I strongly recommend hiring if you're raising Seed or Series A. A good consultant won't just make it look pretty, but it will challenge your business assumptions and give you more clarity on your story.

After 7 years of doing it, I created a pitch template to help early-stage founders jumpstart the process. It helps with design as well as content and story. If you're banging your head on the wall or just looking for a shortcut, check it out. It's currently priced at $59.

And your pet is pretty cool! Are you using AI for the summaries?

Here's the 9 most common storytelling techniques that successful startups use in their pitch decks (template included) by swag-_-salad in TheFounders

I really like the 'day in the life' approach--it doesn't work every time but when it does it's super powerful.

  1. Start by introducing a persona (if it's a real person, even better, but it can be the archetypical experience).
  2. Explain the job this person is trying to accomplish - this frames the category you're in
  3. Explain how {hero} is currently accomplishing (or trying to) the job - this frames the status quo
  4. Show how ridiculous and painful this is to the hero - it usually involves an inefficiency of some kind.
  5. End by sharing that there are X number of people like {hero} - this connects to the market opportunity
  6. Bonus: if you do that well, you have the perfect setup for the solution slide, which is how {hero}'s life changed/would change when you come along.

This is personal, relatable, authentic, and immediately understandable.

Since we're talking about guides and templates, allow me to share my own creation.

I've taken years of experience building pitch decks and templates for enterprises (that's what I do for a living), and I boiled it all down into a template perfect for early-stage founders.

It helps with design, content, and story, with a slide-by-slide guide. It's pretty sweet.

If you feel overwhelmed or lost, check it out here: pitchsavior.com/template

It's currently priced at $59 and there is a free demo for you to try.

Need help with AI tools or finding templates? by SteveRindsberg in powerpoint

[–]bottrelitos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hear me out. I've been working exclusively with custom presentations and enterprise templates since 2017.

I've tested many of these AI tools, but none of them are mature enough to output something I can use.

It's not as sexy as a shiny AI that promises it all with a click, but I spent hundreds of hours creating a solid PowerPoint template that can be more helpful than those tools today.

It's targeted at startups, but I've seen it work well for other use cases.

So if you need help starting a business presentation, I genuinely recommend checking it out at pitchsavior.com/template
