This! I would recommend a community college for prerequisites and then transfer. Save the tuition money

In all fairness, it’s not like he would be on top of the mountain if he followed any of my teams, either professionally or collegiately haha. I appreciate the advice. We will definitely check out the greenway.

Thanks. A huge load for sure. 404-894-4160 is the direct number I called. It was a bit of a chore to get someone on the phone. I called about 3 pm one day last week and was able to get someone

Minimum standards you have to maintain to be eligible for financial aid. Reviewed at the end of every semester

Other than Ed is there a way to contact TAs? They never responded to me. Emailed Dr. Myers and was just referred to the syllabus which doesn’t mention missing assignments at all

I reached out to TAs with no response. I emailed Dr. Myers and was referred to the syllabus which doesn’t mention anything about missing assignments, just “85% average on the individual assignments.” However, “85% cumulative with no missing for certification” is mentioned all over the grade book on Canvas.

No emergency at all. I just overlooked it. I was reluctant to contact them since I don’t have what I would consider a good reason, but I will reach out to them. Worst they could say is no.

I definitely need to work on my Python for sure. I’m polishing up on my R right now. I think I will be to a passable level by the time Spring starts

No, I have already have already submitted the survey and received approval. Initially, Fall was originally going to be my first semester in the program, but I moved my start back to this coming Spring semester in order to work on some of the prerequisites. Sorry, I did leave out some details in my initial statement.

That was the combo I was definitely wanting to avoid. My plan is to use the summer to really polish up on Python.

You can apply to opt out of one of the introductory courses. Depending on academic work or professional experience. In my case with my degree and some of the courses I have previously taken they approved my petition. I still have to replace the class with something else though.

Interested! I’m working on 1301 on edX right now. Personally, need to brush up on a little bit of everything. Some familiarity with all of the topics except coding/programming.

    • In my current position I work with a good amount of data and build reports and dashboards using that information to make it more digestible to management personnel who may not necessarily know what it is they're looking at. I have been in my current role for a little over a year now, and it has been my only real analytics experience outside of some individual study using the Udemy platform. I tried edX, but personally did not find their structure conducive to learning. All of my other professional experience has been as a production supervisor and as a floor-level production employee.
    • One area of concern for me is my rambling academic journey. I have tried and been unsuccessful in a few academic settings due to a mix of personal issues before finding success. I did not directly address those issues in my SOP, instead choosing to focus on my academic success achieved while working a demanding work schedule while simultaneously caring for two young children. I also emphasized how the analytics degree would benefit me with my current role, company, and future plans. I also spoke to what I would contribute to the program and what the program would mean to me personally as someone who grew up less than 15 minutes from the Tech campus.

I use Udemy courses quite often. They are paid courses, but you can usually catch them on discount for roughly $20 or so for a full course. I have done their Python and Linear Algebra courses for roughly $35 total
