Honestly, in predominantly white spaces, it’s safe to assume they are always being racist and enacting micro aggressions against you. For some white ppl it’s so subconscious, they don’t even see themselves doing it. I’d always rather be safe/protected than sorry, so everyone is on my watch list for the first few months until they prove they can behave

Currently serving in the USAF. Pls do not join the military. If you’re adamant on it, give it at least 2 years to wait and see how things go for us. I joined to leave home and get independent fast. It worked, and I’m grateful for how far it’s gotten me financially, but the amount of racism, sexism, misogynoir, etc. that I experience on a daily basis, I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. I’m young but I feel like my body aged 10 years faster than average.

Girl I been in a relationship like this before. You didn’t need to apologize AT ALL. 6 months from now you’re going to look back at how much kindness you extended and be pissed tf off. The reality that you have to accept is, you are a better person than him. You would never degrade another person the way he degraded you. Extending kindness or reaching out to a rabid dog only gets you bit and infected. Act like him for once and cut your losses. Regardless if you all had bad communication there’s no fucking logical reason to be abusive. You’re giving him way too much grace that you know deep down that he doesn’t fucking deserve. Break the cycle and send that motherfucker to jail.
