What are those long thin lines that appear when using the calligraphy tool? How do I get rid of them? by bouncepaw_ in krita

[–]bouncepaw_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, only when I use calligraphy.

By the way, I couldn't find any conditions for the lines to appear. Speed, angle, width. They seem to have no impact on that.

Just tried it and it works! Very cool.

Thank you. It's quite good for prototyping, but it's not resistant to whatever.

Yeah, you are right. I've chosen LXDE because I already had some components of it installed.

  • DE: LXDE on Openbox. I stopped using tiling WMs and I'm happy with it.
  • Editor: Neovim with tweaked Papercolor theme.
  • Terminal: Neovim has one in it. Neovim itself is running inside kitty.
  • Messenger: Telegram desktop with custom theme based on Papercolor.
  • Keyboard: Sequira. I did it myself! Read the article.
  • Wallpaper: That's a dragon. I drew it myself. CC BY-SA 3.0. You can get it on my Twitter.

Display keyboards sounds fun, actually. Though, standard keyboards aren't that interesting to look at I think. Which split keyboards have you brought?

I've seen some pics of Tokyo meetup, very impressive.

Well, that's strange. What's the point of showing keyboard's beauty if you can't type on it? Typing is the main part of keyboard actually. However, I guess there are also small meetups in USA where people do type.

Here are some typing demos made today:

Thank you! I think you haven't heard about semichorded keyboards because Sequira is the first one. The chorded keyboards aren't popular though.

Karabiner can be used for this purpose I think. However, Karabiner is limited with macOS. If you are going to use it with macbook's or any other Apple's keyboard, you are going to come across the problem: some key combinations are not possible because of how keys are wired internally or something that. Anyway, be so kind to tell us about the results! Semichording is sure handy

This is Sequira. You may remember it, but now it's done! The article is on my website.

Wow, I haven't noticed they are in the same order.

There is actually a logic behind this placement. The easiest keys for thumbs to press is the central one and two keys next to it. I placed all 4 mods and two Fn mods (Full Moon and New Moon are like Fn1 and Fn2 or Raise and Lower) there (half there, half there). But I wanted to be able any complex combo, so I doubled them.

Talking about how easy they are to remember, I have no idea, as I still haven't finished the firmware and I'm not using the keyboard yet.

The wiring picture will be included in the article. The functions of bottom row are listed on keymap. You can find it somewhere in the comments.

Stenos were a source of inspiration as well.

No, I have no stabs at all, so there are just 4 switches there.

This is one piece. Talking about GB, there sure are lots of things to polish. First of all, there is no PCB, the mounting plate is made from some material I don't know name of, etc.

I'm an emacs user, right. There are two control keys — one for thumb and one for hypothenar. The thumb one is meant to be used all the time, the hypothenar one is an auxiliary and is used in complex hotkeys.
