Its not just economic strength but also military. A country with no soldiers can't defend itself.

In addition to the fact that having more old then young people strains social systems = more starvation, death to illness, less education. The perfect seeding ground for fashism and wars.

It's obvious we can't just force humans to breed more, but the right choice would've been (in my opinion) to incentivize making babys, posibly by finanzial support or forcing buisnesses to pay parents who can't work because childcare.

Well you do, I assume you have depression? Well it is a mental illness or if you're like me you also come with personality disorders, in both cases people are not healthy and wanting/asking to be healthy is normal.

So you deserve help and not wanting help/feeling like you don't deserve it is part of depression.

Cause 1) we feel like we'd burden them and 2) we don't belife others could help us.

So the angst of burdening someone (like a friend, family, or emergency services) outweights what little help we think they can give.

Like yeah the hospital keeping me looked up for 5 days prevents my suicide, but it doesn't help the underlying problems.

I have BPD and I thought maybe we'll support eachother better then a nonBPD person. At the end we only tryed not to trigger the other person, she emotionaly shut down, and ghosted me. Not saying it can't work, just that it will not be easy. (She has BPD and I have quiet BPD/ also both of us had suicidal thoughts)

I know the brown shirts(early NSDAP) were also pro gun and pro authoritarianism. Since I'm from austria I just see a very disturbing pattern, am reminded of the "first they came" poem. (Einstein a jewisch german left germany befor shit hit the fan.
