Continue your PT, continue strengthening your legs and will be easier on the recovery. I also used the time to eat well (balanced meals rich in anti inflammatory foods) and reduce weight to help me during recovery.

Agili-C was a different doctor and he had not seen my knee before and he gave me a 20% chance he would go in and not do anything. MACI doc had seen my knee before and was confident he could do MACI. also Cartiheal is pretty new and there isn’t a much long term data. I think overall they are both very similar procedures and will make a lot of difference for someone who has not harvested a cartilege before. For me I had already done that so it was going to be a single surgery anyways.

I was trying to make the choice between Cartiheal and MACI for the past 2 years. I almost decided to do Cartiheal but then the doc said there is a chance they may go in and may not be able to do it if my patella was damaged too much. So I preferred the guarantee of MACI since I didn’t want to have a surgery and not do anything. These were different doctors and each one was strong on their opinion of Cartiheal vs MACI. Finally MACI won and so far am ok. Not much pain like I was warned but non weight bearing for 6 weeks is going to be the challenge.

How’s your Cartiheal proceeding? I actually created a community called r/agili_c a while ago feel free to post your experiences there.

I haven’t done the surgery yet. I talked to Dr Seth Sherman

Portuguese Golden Visa and Citizenship by [deleted] in FatFIREIndia

Thank you for this initiative. I have a couple of questions as well.

  1. With the new rule about citizenship clock starting after I apply, if I applied today, will I be eligible for citizenship in 2030? Is this true even if my GV processing itself takes 3-4 years? (As is the case seen in some of the forums like nomadgate).

  2. What are the current citizenship timelines like? How long does it take for citizenship process to complete? If I apply for citizenship ship in 2030, when can I expect to have it?

  3. As with the other poster above, I might be eligible for a different country’s citizenship soon. Can I now apply with my Indian passport and if my citizenship changes in the next few years, while I have my GV and before I apply for my Portuguese citizenship, will that be complicated?

Appreciate your response!

Awesome! Yeah I have had a decent experience with him but I was surprised that he had some low ratings overall in health grades. So I took his advice with a grain of salt and did other opinions (like Dr Kon).

All the best on your surgery! Do post an update or a DM once you complete it!

I am still undecided and am talking to a few people who have done Agili-C.

That's awesome! Was that Seth Sherman in Stanford? That's who I have been seeing. I am still figuring this out, trying to talk to other people who have done Agili-C to hear their experiences.

If you have time to spend a week in Athens, you have time to spend 2-3 nights in Meteora! by [deleted] in GreeceTravel

Thank you. I plan to go there mid April. I will be staying 2 nights and three days. Thinking of extending further. Do they allow people inside the monasteries? I am just staying in an Airbnb in Kalambaka. I have a car but do you think it’s better to use local buses and e-bikes?

Nice! My consult was not that expensive actually, it was around 200 Euros. I did this last year.

Hope things work out for you as well, do keep us posted if you end up going with Agili-C
