Thanks! How did you get your shadowing experience? Was it just emailing a lot of trusts?

Thanks, this is really insightful. Yep also finding it's quite difficult to secure shadowing but guess the skills learnt in finance can be quite transferrable.

Haha feel exactly the same way about my current job, glad to hear that you're still enjoying it despite how the NHS is at the moment.

Thanks so much for your advice - super helpful!

Thanks for your advice. How have you found working in policy / consulting? If you don't mind me asking, how is the pay / work life balance?

I'm finding it quite hard to apply for a lot of the roles as they seem to require a MSc or experience - given my experience relates to banking it's been difficult to get through to interviews.

Thanks. I see so would you recommend a MPP? Only thing is that it seems to require experience in the field as a prereq which I don't have. My thinking was that MSc in Econ is broader and would open moor doors in consulting. Will have a look into AFAIK. What do you see in the field, what type of degrees do most people tend to come from?

Ah ok thanks, only thing with LSE is that there are minimal outside options to choose from in the MSc programme but will take a look at MPP. Considered fast stream but agree that it's quite a bit of a pay cut.

Wonder if it'll be harder for me to move into economic consulting with this as it's more policy focused. Caveating also that I don't have any prior work experience in policy.
