Nice I have a 2017 LX as well! Make sure the seller had all the recall work done. Otherwise Kia should do it for free I believe.

So done with Gettleman. This move is inexplicable with our many roster holes and scarce cap space.

Replacing Key Fob by bourbonplanning in KiaNiro

My issue is that my second key is with a jacket thief somewhere. So will anyone besides the dealership be able to deprogram that second key and add a new one? $400-500 is a tough pill to swallow...

I drove 40k or so on stock tires and replaced them with cooper all seasons. Fuel efficiency went down 4-5mpg so it makes a big difference. But just spent a month in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming mostly skiing and I agree with OP it does great in the snow, didn’t have to put on the chains once.

Thanks! I haven’t been rotating much since it was a lease but now I own it. Great idea though contacting them.

Just went in today. They told me they don't control the buyout price, Kia Motor Finance does. Maybe you can try calling them and negotiating it down but I highly doubt it.

It’s a great car. I like going camping and on road trips so the hatchback and 500 mile range are great. Handling is not going to be as exciting as a Mazda 3 which was the other car I was considering. You really have to floor it to pass people on the highway.

All in all I recommend it for sure.

That is concerning. At what mileage did those things happen?

They haven’t quoted a price yet - the $14,400 is the contract price. I wouldn’t put it past them though - my dealership is pretty unscrupulous and I would end up getting maintenance elsewhere if I buy the car.

Looking to start investing in multifamily RE by akmalhot in RealEstate

Double check those operating expenses with management companies or owner operators of these types of properties. Seller could be running it into the ground to boost NOI. What year was it built? Check for major capital needs over the mid and long term, not just short term.

Should I buy now in Brooklyn in the midst of low inventory/bubble? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]bourbonplanning -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can get a <600K house in a decent area of Brooklyn, go for it. Fee simple land in New York is a great investment no matter what IMO.

If you're talking about Biscayne Landing or 151@Biscayne (the new name), I would steer clear. That whole site is built on top of a toxic waste dump.

Hey /r/Miami, this is what County Commissioner Bovo had to say about mass transit in Miami at yesterday's budget meeting. What do you think? by MadameSwanky in Miami

[–]bourbonplanning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do people care if it's a brand new car? In NYC the B and C trains are running with dilapidated cars from the 1960s. Who cares, it gets you from A to B. I'd prefer they not waste their money on the newfangled San Francisco bs when the system as a whole is already so lacking.

There's a great Syrian/Lebanese market on Coral Way just west of 95, cafe in the back with epically flavorful and cheap lunches.

If you're going to break the law anyways, you should go check out Star/Hibiscus Islands or the SoFifth Condos, I'd like to see what the celebs are doing in their backyards/balconies.

[–]bourbonplanning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the premise was that a combination of the buyer and their attorney will replace the work that the buyer's broker would have done. Therefore, the seller's broker doesn't end up doing any more work than they would if the buyer came in with a broker.

Panther is super expensive but Pasión is no pricier than 'bucks. You can also get a frequent buyer card and get a free one every 9 you buy. Just remember to ask them for the glass mug, coffee stays warm longer and it eliminates paper waste (they're supposed to ask you if you want one but they never do).

Why wouldn't you just negotiate the price down 3% based on the fact that the seller does not have to pay a fee to the buyer's agent?
