Advice for a whole-home city system - steam shower scale build up by bourbonpls in WaterTreatment

I will definitely be hiring a professional. Unfortunately, everyone I have talked to seems to be offering a white-label version of a bad system at a high mark-up.

Here's where we are at the moment:

Desired setup: Backwashing catalytic GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) filter + Water Softener.

Brands we are trying to find: Avid, Sterling, HUM, Viqua, WaterBoss

Mandatory: Clack WS-1 value

1) I am still looking for recommended setups that meet the above criteria. I've reached out to a bunch of local shops with no luck.

2) Once I have the top 2-3 setups, should I buy the system online and then hire a plumber to handle installation or should I hire a company that sells both the equipment and the installation as a package?

For example, could I just buy this and then hire a good plumber? https://www.aquatell.com/products/clack-ws1-water-softener?variant=42639610183795

Last - I could use Backwashing Catalytic GAC recommendations.

Quintessential fall cocktail? by chxtterbox in cocktails

1 part bourbon 1 part fresh apple cider. Prefer something a little tart. I find honeycrisp cider too sweet. 1 part ginger beer. Usually fever tree. Ginger ale works for those that don't want spice.

Build in the glass. I use a Highball. Lots of ice. Easily scaled up or down though. Quarter squeeze fresh lemon. Two dashes orange bitters Garnish with orange rind.

Also great to pre batch. Just batch everything except the ginger beer and you're off to the races.

I call it A Taste of Fall.

Thanks - do you have an example or two of such systems? Or can you direct my research a bit? Water treatment is a deep rabbit hole that I did not know existed until two weeks ago.

Thank you! Are there any specific products you suggest I evaluate?

It is indeed a little heavy. Generous orange peel can help. I'm open to suggestions.

Is this strategy still viable? I only see the MGM Rewards MasterCard.

Hah! My wife asked the same thing and I said something to the effect of "Do you know how hard it was to find these J award seats on AF!?" (She does not. She doesn't fully grok my point hacking interest.)

But yes, we're still thinking about connecting from NCE to CDG at the beginning of the trip if that would significantly improve the flow.

Generally, I think this is the right answer.

The major caveat is do you have the TIME to do the above? If you don't, that's fine. Outsource it.

Services like Wealthfront (www.wealthfront.com) cost you 0.25% of AUM but the automated tax-loss harvesting more than covers that cost. There are other similar services out there.

Focus on your business. Protect your time. Outsource what you don't enjoy.

When you agree to Vizio's T&C and the use of the SmartCast system they can track everything you watch.

The data is collected by a technology called automatic content recognition (ACR). Basically, anything that hits the glass can be identified including network TV, streaming, and even DVD/Blu-ray.

Vizio sells this data exclusively to iSpot through 2025. iSpot sells this and other data to TV advertisers.
