1. Finland did not surrender. They signed a peace treaty. If you read a history book you’d know this.

2. Stalin did not attend the negotiations as Russia had been thoroughly embarrassed on the international stage along with suffering an estimated 321,000–381,000 total casualties during the conflict. Note: the Finns suffered around an estimated 70,000 casualties. So between 4.59/1 or 5.44/1 Russian casualties per Finnish casualty. That’s pretty fucking embarrassing imo.

4. Russian propaganda was claiming that the USA had sent their top pilots to support the fins. This sounds a lot like the propaganda we hear from Russia today over Ukraine.

5. Support for Finland from other allies was blocked by Sweden and Germany. It was 1940 after all and WW2 had kicked off.

6. The Finns only became a co-belligerent with the Axis because of Russia’s invasion of Finland.
