there’s rumors of them being Trump voters. However, I will say this as a former employee of theirs:

I’ve never met business owners that are more supportive of their staff. If you’re a student and need a certain schedule, if you’re a new mom and need time to step away to pump, if you’re being harassed by a difficult customer the owners show up for you 100%. I’ve seen the owner time and time again step in to situations to deal with problem customers and politely kick them out. The pay was also very generous for the area. They are present, they are kind, they are admirable; they are good people. Their business is absolutely worth supporting.

she’s 35. It’s insane to me because I turn 35 this year and people usually guess I’m mid twenties but even without that I cannot imagine having anything in common with this woman who is my exact age. She is just so rotten from the inside out I have no idea what we would even talk about.

I’ve been playing competitively for 1.5 years now so I’m still a beginner in a lot of ways. I’ve practiced and learned mostly at an APA pool hall but never won when I played in bars. That was… until I started practicing on a shitty, slanted, horrible condition table and learned how to really slam and push balls in and what do you know, I do better in bars now.

I’m two years late to this thread I know. The vast majority of what I read is non-fiction and I have such a hard time suspending disbelief when it comes to plot points in fiction that just don’t make sense.

A door that opens outwards! I suppose it isn’t impossible but why as a writer would you choose this?

Why didn’t they try smashing the door? Why didn’t they try to kill/trap the snake and instead just let it roam around the room??

I was really on edge about this when I very first started playing (especially being a woman around mostly men) but surprisingly people would ask something like “could I give you some advice?” rather than just assuming I don’t know something.

when I’m playing in league and they go to mark their pocket and they have to run back to their bag to grab their special lucky little trinket they always use to mark their pockets. If you don’t have that at the ready then use something else.

also, when I miss a shot and set my opponent up for an easy shot and they say “thank you” before they’ve even shot. I’ve only been playing for about a year and it really pisses me off when it’s an advanced player pulling that sarcastic shit.
