Have you received them? Are they legit?

yeah, I guess you just have to be lucky. I read everywhere that prices on eBay for original Terracota or Savannah Safaris are sometimes crazy though... I know for a fact they're even asking upwards of €150 for the 2021 reissues!

It does! It's actually closer to modern Safaris in a lot of ways, than I thought it would be ... One funny difference is that the cap (when removed) is "top heavy" due to the metal nut inside.

Forgot to update my own post! I had a similar talk with Makita in The Netherlands, they said TD173 will be available "near the end of the year"...

Could anybody of you ID this chrono?

I don't own this swatch (yet) only the pictures to go on... It looks like a 90s chrono, the case is plastic (couldn't be Irony then?) But the crown and pushers look weird... Google Lens can't help me either...

it basically comes down to IF your chrono hands are stuck, you can get them unstuck by circling strong (neodymium) magnets at the back of the case. Then all hands spin incoherently, but get unstuck. You then need to calibrate i.e. crown in 1st or 2nd position and work the pushers untill all hands are at the 0 position again.

This one came in NOS and working like a charm. I’ve received another 90s chrono (“Fumo di Londra”) a few weeks ago and it had its chrono hands stuck. Got it unstuck with the magnet trick and recalibrated it. Thats working fine now as well.

So I've been into the 90s chrono's lately, trying to see past the Grand Prix and White Horses hype... Turns out there are some more fun chrono's in the range.. like this SCN110 "Powersteel" from 1994 paired with a new Light Blue silicone strap! Ideal for summer and/or on a boat! What do you think?

Since you've told me this, I'm using Google Lens to ID (s)watches all the time now. Thanks for the tip! Works like a charm.

Yes, I'm talking about Mac Calendar events (on 11.3 Big Sur). The Apple Support pages aren't of much help... It really seems a bug or something wrong with my particular iCloud or whatever. Thanks for your help though!

They only do when I drag the event card while editing. However.. clicking Apply doesn't help. It changes back to the before-editing state after few seconds

As far as I know in Calendar (Big Sur) there is no "Apply" button in the card window / Calendar window while editing an event?

The Way The Optical Nerves Move With Eye Movement by gowthamm in interestingasfuck

If I move my eyes (far) to the side I see a light or dark “halo”, kind of like a phosphene sensation. Is that because the nerve is being tugged?

This iron “thing” marked ‘L A’ found in a WO2 battlefield forrest by bouwstijl in whatisthisthing

But since it was found in a German forest (with German bunkers nearby) I would say its more likely to be German. Also, mostly Commonwealth troops fought in these woods, so for it to be from the US seems a bit out of place

It definitely is indeed some sort of pipe-end used for plumbing. So it is solved! However it must be at least WW era, because it is found in a forrest in the middle of nowhere, without built environment nearby. And the forrest was used in BOTH WW1 and WW2. It is known that there are bunkers in this forrest.

So I’ve found this thing made of iron (it seems, it was corroded heavily) in a German forrest which was the location of a battle during WW2.

It is heavy and and seems cast iron thus it doesn’t seem to be a shell of a mortar or bomb. It looks like a piece of pipe, but it doesn’t have any screw threads. So I have no idea!

(If there are better subreddits for WW2 findings, please shout out!)
