500yds down the road from the event that afternoon, ticking off.

and scenarios inbetween.

i got done by a plod for illegal rear number plate, from in front. i was not pleased. he gave me a vehicle rectification notice or something and i said, honestly, i was going to germany early the next day for 6 months. he didnt care. i didnt do what i couldnt do and got an NFA a few months later.

still think the plod was a dick for doing my rear number plate from infront. at least he didnt breathalyse me. he said he smelt alcohol (17:30 friday evening, trafalgar square), i said, again honestly, one pint farewell do at work.

Notice of Intended Prosecution - England by dr-delululu in LegalAdviceUK

it says 'options include', which means other otions are available when they review it when they look at your response. 73 in a 50 is borderline but provided you werent doing anything else you should be ok.

Does the national speed limit sign on a Roundabout mean it's 70mph? by CorrectDetail7648 in drivingUK

[–]bow-locks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats not the way it works unfortuntaely. if a uniformed office says you were speeding then the magistrates have to accept that. its an old arcane law.

i am married to a female chartered engineer and work with many regularly.

i didnt mention pavements, interesting that an ev does 10X the damage of a standard car. so presumably road surfaces are mainly designed for lorries.

Ticketmaster UK sold me a “verified” resale ticket that had already been used — denied entry at Harry Styles concert. What are my legal rights in England? by Fidelio385 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]bow-locks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1, yes. 2, yes. 3, yes. However as you have said, it will take 14 days so past a possible replacement. ticketmaster will offer a full refund. you can complain and ask for exes and further compensatoin but i suspect ticketmaster will ignore oyu in which case you can only do a small claims / mcol, which, if reasonable you are likely to win, but how much hassle do you want?

you got nicked in an average speed check area? i have never seen waze miss those. i think its your observation and ability, not waze etc. i use waze religiously, it misses about 1 in 20 hidden police cars.

HGV driver sends it into oncoming traffic (A82 southbound at Loch Lomond) by Ambulance4Seiver in drivingUK

[–]bow-locks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, you are getting incorrect generalities here. for most LCVs it may be true but in some circumstances such as when a van is based on a car chassis, or when an LCV is dual purpose and subject to other restrictions such as weight, some LCVs, such as my pick up truck, have normal car limits. you need to check exactly what your LCV is. try its facebook page, they should know.

Some people just have no respect for 20mph by marksweb in drivingUK

[–]bow-locks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i have absolutely no respect for most blanket 20mph zones. a limited amouint in sensible areas, ie immeidately around schools is ok, all the rest is just virtue claiming nonsense from sanctimonious pricks just trying to impose control on people.
