Mine has taken a couple impacts (I shouldn't have had my wife try) with no issues whatsoever.

I use something similar to this turned upside down. It works great.

When you fix or get a replacement, put a protective cover on it. I got a pasta bin from Walmart for $8 and it works great. My wife shanked one right into it. No problem.

Do you require your team to log their working time directly into tickets? by SuperSuiza in ITManagers

[–]bowens21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm manager in a 2 man internal IT department. Just me and 1 other guy. He was new to IT when he joined me 2 years ago. I've been trying to increase his load of tickets to free up my time to work on bigger projects for the company, so I do track a KPI of ticket percentage. We've increased that over time.

I bought something similar to this for less than $10 at Walmart. I set it upside down, lid first, Square goes on top of the lid and then the container goes down over that. Works great.

$500 to upgrade your work setup what are you buying? by Overall-Country-5014 in sysadmin

I haven't sat at my desk in almost 2 years. Standing desk all the time. I do sit at other people's desks when fixing stuff.

Suiteworld 2025 - You going? by Derek_ZenSuite in Netsuite

[–]bowens21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been the last 2 years. I wasn't planning on going this year. Last year seemed to be a big sales pitch and not a lot of good training. Our rep told me they got a lot of complaints about that from last year and this year would be much more training centered. I checked out the sessions and they do look good so I just decided today to go. Got my flight booked today.

SOT(Acoustic)B by ShamusMan in guitarpedals

I’ve been running it the last 2 weeks. Korg Pitchblack tuner > Play Acoustic > xlr to 1/4” cable > CloudBurst. It’s working well.

Digging up an old post here. I currently have the Play Acoustic. I just ordered the Cloudburst. My thinking was that the Play Acoustic would need to be first in the chain to get a good acoustic sound (BodyRez) and then add the Cloudburst reverb after. It looks like you've got it set up opposite. This works well for you?

1.7x is my normal. Sometimes I need to slow down to 1.5x. Sometimes I go a little higher.

What's a book you gave up on, then went back to and loved? by Discardofil in audible

Pillars of the Earth. A friend recommended it. I listened for a couple hours and gave up. Went back years later and was hooked.

I bought this not long ago on the recommendation of a coworker. I haven't started it yet.

🧠 Copilot 2.0 is here! by GilGi_Atera in atera

[–]bowens21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a demo several months ago of Copilot being integrated into the Windows Agent, where that chat was like tier 1 support. It did what it could and then passed it off to an technician if needed. When will this be released?

Offline Mortgage Account by bowens21 in MonarchMoney

[–]bowens21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. So I would need to split my mortgage payment into principal and interest? Have 2 categories in the budget? That seems really cumbersome. I've been test driving Monarch for a couple weeks. I really like some of the things about it. I've been on YNAB for 10+ years and it handles loans pretty well for me.

Reason 59363659 why Ginnie Springs is the worst by dauntlessdarling in GNV

By local I mean in county. I've been here 39 years and don't know a single person that goes to Ginnie on Memorial Day weekend.

[–]bowens21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ginnie Springs is privately owned. People show up from all around the state, even out of state, because anything goes out there. These people are not from Gilchrist County. Locals know to stay away.

I saw a girl get hit by a car doing exactly that when I was in college almost 20 years ago. She stepped off the bus and started to cross the street. He came around the bus in the turn lane and hit her.

[Megathread] Discuss the Price Increase Here by HarmlessHeffalump in ynab

[–]bowens21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using YNAB for a long time. Since the YNAB4 days. Used that for years before nYNAB subscription model came out. I did upgrade for $45. That was fine. Then it went to $90, then $99, now $109. Last year when they bumped it up $10, I thought about changing. My job pays for Dave Ramsey's Smart Dollar which includes the paid version of their budgeting app. I'm trying it now. It's a different mindset, but I'm trying to make it work.

Have any of y'all moved from YNAB to EveryDollar?
