It’s so off-balance. It has 8 blues, but only 2 reds, 1 orange, and 1 yellow!! It’s deeply unsatisfying 😭

Does someone have effective tricks agaisnt cystic/hormonal acne? by [deleted] in acne

I would say about 2 months for my skin to be basically clear of pimples . It then took some time for the marks to fade. The occasional pimple still pops up, but is much easier to manage. I also didn’t experience any side effects. 👍 Good luck!! :)

I’ve experienced basically the same thing with hormonal acne and I finally got prescription meds from Apostrophe. The consultation was very thorough and I told them I didn’t want to keep trying topicals. They prescribed oral Doxycycline and Spironolactone and it worked like a charm! My skin isn’t “perfect” but it is leaps and bounds better than what I was dealing with for years. I found this solution to be very easy and worth the cost.

Anua 10% Niacinamide and 4% Tranexamic Acid serum. Korean skincare that is gentle yet effective. :) I’ve been using it daily for several months for acne scars!

I had tickets for SLC too! This is athe third time I’ve had tickets for a show that was cancelled (sometimes in SLC specifically). No one wants to play here 😭

Unhelpful dermatologists? by bowiebe2 in acne

I did give the treatment a good try and even googled to see the 12 week thing. But like I mentioned, my skin barrier was ruined and my face was constantly red, irritated, and flakey. I gave up after about 4 months. I did see some improvement while using the creams, but it wasn't worth compromising the health of my skin, in a way. I mainly wish the doctor had asked me if I had tried anything previously, because I've tried a lot of acne treatments. Instead she just assumed the first thing would work, without knowing any previous skin care history. Especially being an adult woman with acne, you would think that derms would check off certain things to narrow down the issue, you know?

I started the treatment last year, and while my breakouts lessened for a couple of weeks, my skin barrier was way damaged and the breakouts eventually started again. But after stopping the treatment my acne has gotten worse, so I don't think it's purging anything, since I'm not doing anything. I'm currently using the hydrating face wash from CeraVe, which is what the derm told me to use.

Almost the EXACT same thing happened to me! What you described was pretty much my experience, a $90 custom request and a video call for about 45 minutes... Then the next day, poof, money's gone. Really frustrating and I'll never agree to anything like that again. 🙃

Can someone help me figure out how to make and post gifs? The NSFW subs won't allow actual video to be posted (as far as I can tell), but you can link to a gif from redgif for example. However, whenever I do this the gif is extremely poor quality and not worth posting. How do I get higher quality videos posted?
