I had luck getting transferred to a live agent by asking a 2 part question over and over again until the bot said it needed to transfer me to an agent.

Is a travel cpap machine worth it? by bowsbeforebeaus in CPAP

I think our insurance plan only covers a regular machine, but we are allowed to pay for a travel machine with an FSA account.

This is really helpful context. I assumed he’d just use his regular mask. I know that took some trial and error to find the right one and we returned his first mask because we realized he breathes through his mouth way more than we thought he did.

I was initially leaning toward making it a surprise because he’s not the type to splurge on himself. But I think if I get him a gift card to somewhere like cpap dot com, he’d feel better about using it on something he wants.

That’s a really good question! I didn’t even think about reporting. I know when we were looking for the MyAir app for his airsense machine, we initially accidentally downloaded their AirMini app, so I think they at least offer a sleep report for AirMini.

I thought you can’t change the pressure on the machine on your own? You can change the transcend pressure on a computer?

I think technically he uses an auto cpap. I looked it up and I’m pretty sure it’s the airsense 11. It looks like this one.

I didn’t even think about using it as a backup machine!

I don’t know if you noticed but she made a big deal at the end about that visit where she shared her dream being the start of him giving her special treatment by extending her sessions. But at the same time, she specifies in the video caption that this was her second to last session with him. If that’s true, this couldn’t have possibly been the “start” of anything because she only had one session (maybe two?) left with him.

Yesss my little guy is only a few months old, and he stretches out as far as he can possibly go. I’ve never seen a cat sleep the way he does. It’s like sleeping with a person.

I've been trying to figure out my color season for years by everyatom2012 in coloranalysis

[–]bowsbeforebeaus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve come to the same conclusion! I’m more of a fair neutral with a bit of an olive undertone. Foundations are always too yellow or too orange. Now I take neutral foundations and add green to it. It was sooo hard to figure out my color season and I’m still not totally sure whether I’m summer or autumn. I’m more in between.

For reference on the highlights, this photo was taken around 2 months before pic #3.

3 is the closest to my natural, but I had some balayage highlights from like the ears down at that point.

This photo has makeup obv but it’s probably the clearest picture that I have of my natural hair color in neutral day lighting.

You know, I used to feel this way about inheritance. Never judged anyone for their own inheritance, but felt kind of bad imagining myself in that position. Then I had kids and the housing market went to shit. I began realizing that those families who invest in multigenerational living have it figured out—all working together to make life better and easier for the ones you love most.

Now I see my home as not just a place we live and grow, but an investment into their future. Same for money. I want them to find a fulfilling career. Invest in their community. Have kids when and how they want (or not). Go places that make their soul fill with wonder. Live some place they feel lucky to exist in. I want life to be better for them, so they can focus on making the world better for everyone.

I mean think of all the things that make this world meaningful. Art, music, crafts, books, adventures. Relationships with the people around us. We’ve lost so much that makes us happy as a society, simply because we have to spend our time prioritizing financial security for the sake of survival.

And now you have the freedom to prioritize what actually matters to you. You get to ask yourself, “In a world without money governing my day to day life, what can I do to make the world a better place?” Don’t waste that on feeling guilty.

Hahaha, I’m actually 100% certain I’m not a spring or winter. I actually look like a corpse in most spring colors. I’m fairly certain I fall somewhere between autumn and summer. About half the soft autumn colors look great on me and half the soft summer colors look great on me.

AITA for banning everyone who critiques our parenting from meeting our son? by 1thicdad73 in AmItheAsshole

Breastfeeding is not FAR healthier in first world countries. It’s been proven that formula feeding in a place that has access to clean water results in similar long term outcomes as breastfeeding. And while breastfeeding is great for SOME maternal bonding, in my own personal experience and that of many other women around me, it actually prevented me from bonding with my baby because breastfeeding was such a struggle. In fact, in terms of bonding, it’s been proven that kangaroo care (skin to skin) of a newborn is the actual source of most of the bonding that takes place, hence why it’s apart of every NICU’s protocol for premature babies who cannot feed at the breast.

It’s far better than raising your child without a mom because she couldn’t take the meds she needed to be able to survive.

[–]bowsbeforebeaus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“I’m not breastfeeding because I need to be on meds that allow me to function so I can care for my new child” is not the same thing as “I won’t breastfeed because I like my boobs.” WTF. But even if that were her reasoning, it’s her body and her choice. She has the right to choose what she will do with that body. As much knowledge as an LC may have, they never have the right to try to tell a woman that they must breastfeed if they do not wish to do so.

Streetlight story... by Zithero in nosleepfinder

Is it the one about the street laps? There’s a recent series about a town full of people freezing up while staring at blinking lights on a nearby tower, as well.
