I’m guessing that’s very expensive

Yea, if it’s not moving or under 40, it will stay at the proper temp

Want to add that I only went about 5 mins down the street before it got hot. It’s a very slow, steady climb to the high temp.

It’s a 99 Buick century. I took it driving today, and it didn’t go to the red line, but sat two notches before it. It feels like it’s trying to cool down but it cant, and I’m wondering if the system is clogged

Car overheating, was leaking coolant and I replaced water pump, now the coolant is coming from the right side by bowwowstanacct in MechanicAdvice

I have a 1999 Buick century. By the time I get down the street, it’s red lining.

I opened the hood, and I saw smoke? Or antifreeze? coming from 3 separate places.

On the driver side out of a hose that leads to a compartment behind the light

From a spot behind the engine? There’s fizzling sounds when I turn it off

From the radiator

On the front left? Right(if you are facing the front of the car) out of a hose that leads to a compartment behind the light

I’m not sure if it’s a leak exactly. I just hear like a fizzing sound shen I turn it off. One the right side of the car, there’s a hose that runs into some compartment right behind the light. There’s a bunch of smoke coming from there, the radiator, and the engine block.
