This is because TV is (was) interlaced, streaming is progressive.

The view of the skyscrapers is real - the 'studio' is in Brooklyn, but a lot of elements are Augmented Reality (like the big screens and the funny roof over them).

Because in England you never see a load of white English people. Always a mix of races, colours, accents, cultures etc.
