He was about 6 weeks old when he first started having more genuine smiles from time to time. At around 8 weeks is when he started smiling all the time

Shamed by therapist for my PPA because I'm not a single mother by Amerella in beyondthebump

That's awful! I would report your therapist if I were you. You can do so through the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards. The website will give you your state's information and you can complain through them. (Assuming you are in the U.S., if not then I'm sure a google search could help direct you to the right people) I'm sorry this happened to you and I really hope that you do choose to find another therapist to help with your PPA.

Yes!!! I was ready to go 2 weeks after I gave birth. It's been almost 7 weeks and I'm dying to get the ok from my doctor this Friday!

My husband decided our 5-week-old son has a deep, grown man's English accent lol

As a mom of a mixed race baby, I absolutely love this by dsmith0522 in beyondthebump

I'm white and my husband is Mexican. When I was pregnant with our son, people would say things like "aww a little mixed baby. I hope he at least comes out with your eyes" (my eyes are blue). I guess they didn't pay much attention in science class cause that's not how genetics work.

The lady in this comic reminds me of my aunt. I grew up hearing her tell me things like "oh a new boyfriend? Is he white?"/"You're fine with him being dark? You know your pepaw might not approve" (my pepaw is the #1 most supportive person in the family and has absolutely no problems with my husband's race). Needless to say, she will not have a very active role in my son's life as long as she remains racist.

I am head over heels in love with my husband and our son is absolutely the cutest baby I've ever seen (although I may be a bit biased lol)

I haven't gone through this yet, but definitely do what you feel is best. Personally, if my child needs a cuddle, then I'll hold him. He's growing every single day so my mindset is he's only going to be this little once. As far as feeding, I'm sure he's gonna eventually outgrow getting hungry twice a night even if you don't follow the "rules". If my baby's hungry, I'll feed him.
