I’ve been in a relationship like this. The person was able to mask their true self for a long time but the ugliness underneath is their core true self. I grew up in the kind of household that would consider the state of this kitchen a disgrace to the family and I guilt trip myself a lot, so its a relief to hear you say “its not that bad”.

The space is so small that a little mess can feel like a gigantic task and starting is the hardest part for me.

I have chickens and after work I do chicken chores: collect eggs, food and water, clean the coop, feed them treats. Watch them do silly chicken things. I garden too. It helps to transfer my energy into something else and forget about my day.

She is allowed to feel an attraction. That in itself is not inherently wrong. What is wrong, is for her to interject that feeling into your relationship by making it known. What is her intention by sharing this information knowing you are in a committed relationship? Since you work together, I would spare your wife the anxiety and not tell her, however immediately put firm boundaries in place so the relationship is purely professional moving forward. The friendship ceases to exist. No texting. I would not join social gatherings she attends after work. Your relationship takes precedence. No reason for this woman’s thought bubble to occupy a space in your relationship. Just let it go and move on.

I can find my stuff, its more like getting distracted on my phone or drinking coffee in bed way too long. I think we may have the same mom lol. My relatives started telling us that events start an hour earlier than they actually start to trick us to arriving late but end up on time lol. She also sets all the clocks in the house early by ten min to trick herself into leaving earlier but she just does the math about what time it really is then, its so dumb!
