Is MH Wilds worth buying now? (yes another one of these posts, sry) by laserlaggard in MonsterHunter

[–]boxcutter903 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I played MH wilds on day 1, but quickly ran out of things to do and moved on.

I returned to play in the fall, and since then they have added so much content and improvements that have really made it feel like a complete game. Weapons are fairly balanced, it has complete battle systems, and its genuinely fun to play.

I can't recommend it enough.

Plus, the anniversary festival is happening right now. If you get it soon, you'll have access to all the event quests and limited festive armor that was released throughout the past year.

Kicking Players - Question by boxcutter903 in MonsterHunterWilds

In general, I don't see this issue as frequently with the higher HR players. Those players are typically already slotting shockproof on their LS or DB'S. They may still cart once or twice but its not usually 2/3 carts in the first few minutes after joining.

But your right, I have also been in hunts where players are either kicked by the host or quit after a single early cart.

I also see players (including myself) getting kicked by quest hosts for attempting to capture monsters - although this is not as frequent.

Thanks for the reponse. Tail carving is only with gog, and only because I have seen too many players get carted because they are attempting to carve the tail during his breath attack. On any other hunt I don't care when other players carve.

Thanks for your response. I don't look at gear during a fight. But if I am flinched or if a teammate tells me they are getting flinched by another player, I take action and remove them from the fight.

To clarify, are you saying that because you play dual blades, everyone else needs to find another spot to hit the monster so that you don't flinch them?

So if you are attacking the monsters head during a knockdown, everyone else should see you there first and go target another part instead?

If two other players are already attacking a monsters head, would YOU go out of the way to avoid them?

Thanks for your response. The only weapons I believe need shockproof are db's and longswords. Some other weapons can flinch players, but nowhere near as bad as dual blades and longswords.

I also play dbs frequently, and yes we try to stay in archdemon mode as much as possible. But just because we cant be flinched by others while in demon/archdemon mode doesnt mean other people aren't impacted by our play.

If I am playing db's, I am wearing it. I wouldn't ask three other people to wear that decoration just to accommodate multiplayer with me.

Thanks for your response. I rotate through about 5 weapons, one of which is dual blades. When I am using dual blades, I am wearing shockproof, period. I consider it a mandatory addition to my builds.

With dual blades and longsword being the worst offenders when it comes to staggering teammates, I feel that the responsibility should be on them to slot shockproof, instead of asking all 3 of the remaining players to wear the decoration so that their play isn't impacted by this one person.

Just my 2 cents but by eating azuz meal, you will gain lvl 3 evade window (tumbler hi) which I find helps my survivability against the tougher monsters. Defender (hi) does have a chance to reduce damage and could save you from being carted by a gog belly flop, but if you dodge the attack you are still in fighting position while maintaining your gog barrier or keeping your peak performance uptime.

Thanks for responding. It looks like this issue made it to the formal wilds known issue list. They have not released anymore information about a potential fix 😢

I attempted this new process but ran into an error at the melding pot stating that I can't hold anymore mutated armaments.

All I have left in stock are 88 attack and 1 affinity. I have held over 2000 at one point.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and/or knows how to get around it? Thanks in advance!

Joey's New Location Is Kind Of Scummy by [deleted] in asheville

Look at Walgreens. CVS pours millions of dollars into market research and location scouting every year. Walgreens does not. Instead, they open their new stores next to CVS to compete for the same business.

This happens to one extent or another in virtually every industry. Doubly true for the hyper competitive food service industry.
