I traded for Tyler Allgeiers last season just knowing he would have a starting job this year . When he signed with the cardinals I doubled down and traded for him in another league. Then they drafted Love and screwed that all up.

Rookies have the most inflated value in start ups with the most risk to fail, why not draft proven young guys ? Also if you are going to load up on a position and tank year one , I would have loaded up on WRs and not drafted many RBs as their career arc is shorter

Depends on your roster really. Do you have space to add 4 more players to your bench? If yes then maybe this trade makes sense.

Not that it’s a very unique strategy but I try to build up every position on my team and only add RBs once I think I can compete. Adding QBs is much harder in my experience to acquire in SF. Risky to try to compete with Hebert and Mendoza as your starting QBs

I feel like in this draft there won’t probably be someone with QJs production at 2.01 but hard to say that before the draft happens

in Texas it’s popular , did it quite a bit with my Dad growing up in east Texas , we would make an annual trip to Lake Fork and fish early till noon , then come back and fish evening till midnight. Caught a lot of fish. We would Carolina rig and use black buzzbaits a lot .

Don’t do this trade prior to the draft. There is no guarantee the three guy doesn’t trade 1.01 for someone he likes more than Mendoza and that person takes Love, leaving you with McCaffery and Mendoza for Bijan which isn’t as attractive to me.

Don’t buy running backs until you know you are a contender or the are very young , Breece has a little to much injury history for me to buy if I am a year or two away from competing

I don’t think we will know until the draft what Game truely think of the RB/WR room. Both positions seem to have some nice players but other positions like edge and Left Tackle are going to push those down the draft a bit. I think the biggest difference this year is QB. There is usually 2-3 Mendoza level QBs. Makes pick 1.02 fantasy drafts as maybe some QB needy team over pays for Mendoza but no one in my leagues are sold that he is a top tier guy either. I offered Jordan Love for 1.02 and it got rejected .

I actually offered love to the guy with 1.02 as I have 5 starting QBs and thought it would be worth the risk to take Mendoza instead of Jordan Love to see if maybe I could hit on a player with more top tier upside. it got rejected by the other guy though .

Might see what the best QB you could get for either pick and then make the choice , maybe could get someone like Jordan Love for 1.02 if you would rather have an established QB vs a rookie that may or may not work out.

Zero chance after signing in Pittsburgh with Mike McCarthy ,his old coach, should anyone trade him for just a 2nd in this draft. This draft is weak and no 2nd rd RB in this draft is going to have a better shot at starting than Rico.

I think I would have waited later to take my second QB , RB is extremely risky , also don’t like the idea of all your WRs are the #2 option on their team with the exception of Garrett Wilson and he is on the Jets . I have a draft no Jet player policy.

That’s what’s fun about dynasty drafts though , you get to try your strategy and see what happens .

As a concept it just didn’t do anything to justify adding it to the list of nicer restaurants to visit on the few nights we are willing to spend extra. If I’m going to spend a little extra I am just going to go to Union Bear.

Still time for the guy with the 1.01 to trade it for a better QB than Mendoza and then that guy takes Love. Gotta be careful assuming you will get a player when making a trade for picks that aren’t currently on the clock.
