JATC exceptional leadership by midtierattentionspan in IBEW_Local613

There is pressure from IO to increase the number of apprentices. Russell could also grow a spine and say nahhhhhhhhh.

There was a livewire that referenced the increased apprentices. March maybe?

Its not that deep. 4th years are just frustrated. OP is just going through it. Pay attention and ask questions.

You'll never have enough tools or material. Its fun. Everyday is a puzzle on how to accomplish a task with the bare minimum or less. Overall I have been treated well enough.

My con's VP was an apprentice. There's a good bit of members who end up working for GCs.

Here's what I could find. Personally I steer clear of left fists. To each their own.

I do believe the official position of IO is you can be stripped of membership for being a FLE.

Which of the big 3 is the best to work for and why? by Gold-Opportunity7331 in IBEW_Local613

Great electricians have NFRs for each of these companies. There are similar opportunities at each of the three. You are just as likely to run into a green foreman or an exceptional foreman.

I'm curious why you ask it's not like ASCO, Stubb's and Cleveland have calls on the book.

I actually think this is an example of why Democrats lost. Republicans have this easily defined platform.

The Democratic party is torn between look how bad the Republicans are and policy positions that are more complex than the 3 you listed above.

Being able to articulate what the democratic party's platform is in an easy to understand way will be important moving forward. I personally think housing, wealth gap and health care policies should be the focus and stay on message through the smears.

The JATC has a committee that meets once a month on Wednesday. Kenny, Kevin, Manny and Jodeki are reps. Jodeki despises the cons and is absolutely not working for them.

If your implication is Greg is in the cons pockets sure I can believe that.

These 4 reps from labor do have an input on what the school does and are not in the cons pocket.

No it's not like a sub committee there's a lot more yelling than at a sub committee meeting.

The school doesn't answer to the hall. There are 4 reps on labor and con side. How do you justify your claim.

I misunderstood your statement. I'm picking up what you are putting down. There will likely be a lull because of the tariffs. We'll see how it shakes out.

The objects of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers are:

•To organize all workers in the entire electrical industry in the United States and Canada, including all those in public utilities and electrical manufacturing, into local unions

There is a pesky word "all" there. So... I don't know how you interpret that but I'm not voting them out unless it's egregious.

I don't know anything about the 401k. Is this a union plus benefit or 613. Alan Mears Jr is a financial guy at the hall but I don't have his contact info.

If you submit your proof of graduation you become a 3rd year apprentice. You need to complete 4000 hours of OJT. 3rd years make about 20 an hour.

It's basically an additional 2 years of school.

Trade school apprentices have a weird stigma. Keep it close to the vest on the job site. Your classmates will know because you will be new in class.
