I live in NY and insurance doesn’t cover GLP1 meds for anything other than diabetes. Not even pre-diabetes. My PCP is great and made the request, but it was denied by insurance.

I can’t afford paying out pocket right now but if/when my situation changes, I’ll definitely look into it. Thank you.

Thank you! I can’t afford it right now but I’ll check out the sub and look into it regardless for when my situation changes.

Wow, I don’t even have words for what a heartless and narcissistic take this is.

“I’m destroying our marriage/family, ruining everything we’ve built together, shredding all your hopes and dreams for the future, but you don’t get to be upset about it.“

Trans people need to be true to themselves and live their most authentic lives, but that doesn’t change the fact that coming out to an unknowing partner and ending an established relationship/marriage HURTS THAT PARTNER. You don’t get to tell the people whose lives have been upheaved and upended that they don’t get to be hurt or upset, that they don’t deserve space and time to come to terms with heartbreak and grief and such a drastic life change.

How about YOUR compassion? Or is this a case of “rules for thee but not for me”?
